Hello guys,Cr1 here, I would like to ask what would i fill up in my ds260 is it maiden name or marrried name? My passport still shows my maiden name but my petition papers were all in my married name, now got me confused. Is it really matters that my passport still my single name in an interview? Salamat.

You need to renew your passport in your married name.

Check out the requirements here for spouse of foreign national: http://passport.com.ph/info/requirements/for/renewal

The fact your maiden name is on your passport at the time of interview will not matter. You can use your married name on the DS-260 then change the name on the passport.

I think its kinda late to change status now, in next day gonna fill up ds260 then will send civil docs to NVC with passport biopage, I read somewhere here thats ok if still using maiden name but cant find the links. Anyway thanks.

Better to change your passport now while you're still in the Philippines so the visa and GC will be issued in your married name. Less hassle.

You can go ahead with your plan so you won't introduce a delay with the NVC. Just use the maiden name as the official name for the DS260 and use your married name as your alias (other names).

While waiting for the NVC you can go ahead and "renew" your passport with the new name. During your embassy interview time, just bring both passports and tell the CO that you want to use the new passport so the visa and the GC will be issued with your new name. HTH

I agree with apple21.. :)

You may call and ask NVC on how to go about this..

We filed with my maiden name, but during the NVC process I renewed my passport and asked them to update my files so I could use the married name.. They only asked me to e-mail the bio page of my new passport and the rest is history. ;)
