I send my application to the office and they receive it on Jan 15, 2014. Soon they send me I-797, but this is the only letter I received. It's already more than 4 month, I still did not receive the biometric appointment. I called them at least ten times. At March, after I noticed them, they said that they would mail me a letter to explain that in 30 days, but after 30 days, I did not receive anything. I called them again, and they told me they would send my request again and they promise me this time I must receive a letter. Unfortunately, I still did not receive anything. I appealed online, nobody responsed me. I send them email, and they send me a feeback, but the feedback is let me grade their website! I had to call them again, again, and again. They told me that I would receive the appiontment anytime, but I don't trust them. They told me the same thing two month ago. I'm really mad about their service. My cousin send them her application at March, she received her appiontment in a week! Why I have to wait four month and still not be scheduled yet? Why they treated me unequally? Is this discrimation? Why they don't tell me the reason that my case is delayed? Why they tell me I would receive the letter in thirty days but I don't? Oh my God, the people send the application at May already start to receive appiontment but I still not! Can anyone tell me what I should do now please?

You should call in and speak to a Level II officer. The level I's don't know details about your case, and all they can do is make a service request. Seems like they have done that but you haven't received anything. When you speak to the Level II, they can look into when your appointments were scheduled and may be able to fax the notice to you as well.

If all else fails - you should make and Infopass appointment to discuss.

Make an InfoPass appointment. They can give a paper to have your biometrics done that same day. I wouldn't waste time calling. You should have gotten the appointment letter within 30 days. Don't waste anymore time because you don't want them to think you abandoned you AOS.

Either the letter got lost, misdirected etc., it happens and happens a lot with the USCIS. Happened to my wife. Make the appointment today!

I did that and it work they schedule me apointment right there so dont bother to call them anymore just make a infopass and go talk to them..

On January 15, 2014, USCIS received my N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION. I thought I would receive a biometric appointment in 30 days, but today is already 05/24, I sill didn't receive the appointment. I tried everything I can do. I called them at least 20 times. At March, i called them, and they made a request and promised I will received a letter to explain the reason in 30 days. After 30 days, I didn't receive anything. I called them again. They send another request, and told me that this time I would receive the letter. After30 days, I still didn't receive anything.

I called and talked to the higher level officer. They said it seems that there is nothing wrong with my case, so all I need to do is waiting. They said I would receive an appointment soon, but soon? They told me the same thing two month ago!

Then I made a InfoPass appointment to visit officer, they told me the same thing. They said seems there is nothing wrong, so I have to wait. But OMG, how long should I wait? A year? Two years? Ten years? Why I have to wait so long if there is NO reason? I'm really depression and hate these officers because the people who send the application on January already joined US citizen, but I still wait for the biometric appointment! Why they treat me unequally? Have you guys met the same situation? Is there really nothing I can do but wait?

Sorry to hear about your situation. We had a similar issue

My husband and I filed with the Phoenix lockbox in the first week of Jan and did not receive the biometric letter for the longest time. After repeated calls to the first level and second tier officers in which they either opened a service inquiry or said they will ' put us in queue', a second tier officer found that a letter had been mailed to my husband on Jan 15. Funnily enough none of the earlier CSR or Tier 2 officers could give us this information. When we told the officer who mentioned that a letter had been mailed on Jan 15 and no one else told us about it, he simply said that they did not look ' deep enough'. By the time he faxed us that original appointment notice, it was April first week - three months after our filing date. As for me, they mailed a biometric notice the first week of April after multiple such phone calls.

All said, continue to call and speak only to tier 2 officers henceforth, at least they ask to call back in 15 and not 30 days. Ask them to look deeper to see if a notice got sent and you did not receive. Hopefully, this will get resolved quickly.

Good luck.

That is unusual long. Why don't you just try a walk in? If you have have your NBC* number that should work.

Thanks for your response. I did. I went to their office and asked them.

I: I send you guys my application at Jan. I have not received the biometric appiontment.

The officer: Ok. Let me see...there is nothing wrong. You just need to wait.

I: Why I have to wait so longer than others if there is nothing wrong? I need a reason.

The officer: I don't know. It's no guarantee. Everyone's case is different.

I: So when I can receive the appiontment?

The officer: Soon.

I: But you guys told me that two month ago.

The officer: Ok, but it's no guarantee. Some people has to wait more than a year.

I: so what should I do now?

The officer: Just wait.

I: If I still not receive anything next month, what should I do?

The officer: Wait. Or you can make an appiontment and come back.

That's our conversation. I just want to kill these guys now.

Thanks for your response. I'm really depression. You know we can check the case status on the USCIS.gov. I'm sure they did not send me the letter. I just want to get a reason to explain why my case is delayed. But they told me to wait. I just need someone gives me a reason to explain why my case is delayed. I called them, visited their office, send them email, appealed online, all they told me is that I have to wait because everyone's case is different. I have to wait maybe a month, maybe a year, maybe ten years. They don't care about my case because they still get wage from government every month.

Try contacting your local congressman to make an inquiry on your case

Thanks for your response. I live in Los Angeles area, California. Do you know how can I get the information of local congressman, and how could I connect with them?
