You are correct. Women should not be held to a higher standard of posting, however if you are going to be a grump don't ballistic, call for threads to be closed and report people when they grump back. That is the issue, not the being a grump, smart butt or whatever you want to call it .

And much like Maven said, it is wrong to be talking about women in general terms, so I will take sex out of it .

You as a poster, not the other women tend to do that, and it has nothing to do with Maven, Val, Janelle, and the rest who are more than capable of holding their own.

Cleo did insult people. She did talk down to people. She got mad when they did it back. The mods had a funny way of showing up whenever that happened. Ditto with Gary and his baiting and then reporting. Cleo was a buzz killer. And she knew it and did it intentionally.

Others here have a condescending attitude when talking to some of the mentally challenged posters like NB. They like to ridicule him and put him down when he is unable to defend himself. That's not nice either.

I am not sure if I should thank you for defending me or be mad you called me a name. I think that was a personal insult... Hmm Maybe I should report you LOL

I did not call you Hamas. I tired to use an analogy. I said words to this effect, You are like Hamas in that you can't expect to hurl rockets into other peoples backyard and no get some back in return. I apologized, because i am a nice guy, and I meant no offense. clearly it was a attacking others analogy that had nothing to do with Hamas. However just like the peeing in cornflakes and the Spooky would you shoot to defend your family, you went ballistic., even after I explained my internet and apologized. However you are still saying I called you Hamas, when you know it's not true.

I think most posters would realize I was talking about firing off into others but not expecting others to fire back. I was surely not calling you Hamas, nor do I think you are. Of course a couple of the Fab 7 came along and backed you up, even after I explained it . Then just like magic the Mods showed up and deleted all your nasty posts, and edited mine, but left your replies. what a coincidence right ?

Maybe a better analogy would have been you can't expect swing at someone and them not swing back.

Regardless I don't dis lake you, you are bright and bring a lot to this forum. Just don't dish it out if you can't take it.

I did not report it, I bet AJ did since he scolded you. You clearly violated TOS by calling me that, so the mods removed it. I did not violate TOS in my replies, so they weren't removed. You think that is wrong? And I am to blame for it?

If a person violates TOS, then it should be removed. That's the rules of the site.

Bravo. You summed it up perfectly. I blocked him for the same exact reason. He rarely added anything of substance other than to demean and be little people. As you and I said, at least MBD makes you think. Also as you said, it does little good, since his posts show up anyway in quotes. If I blocked people that have different view points, 75% of the people here would be blocked, so that argument is silly.

He is here and he us posting in the thread. At least where I was brought up, talking about people in the third person when they are present is quite rude.

But that's just me. Although I suspect it's not just me who thinks that.
