Well, after an extremely long wait my wife and I had our interview on Tuesday. I think the interview went well but at the end of it we did get a RFE for something that wasn’t even included on the list of things to bring. While I was the main sponsor for wife, her sister was the joint sponsor since I wasn’t working when we got married. The “agent” we said we needed to provide proof of my sister-in-law’s citizenship in order to proceed, which seemed kind of odd since when we initially started the process she was only a permanent resident.

In addition to that we noticed another “sub-box” was checked on line 6 (see the attached pdf) that the agent hadn’t talked about during the meeting. It just seems strange that the first box on that line isn't checked; makes me think that the "sub-box" is just checked by default. Anway, even though we already supplied this information at the beginning of the process, should I just err on the side of caution and fill out the I-864 again?

In end , he said that even after they get the information we'll probably need to re-do biometrics since the ones we got have almost expired, which means it can be anywhere from 1-2 months before get answer.
