In your experience to enroll to EP do I have to wait for the Invoices to show paid in the system (right now is showing "in progress")? Do I wait couple of days? Thanks!

hello all of friends

i sent my iv package on april 15 and it deliver on april 16 by USPS over night.

i called friday to NVC and they said they don't receive yet.

i called again and still not yet.

so they take long like that or it is possible that they might lost my civil package ?

i am afraid my original document will lost and going to delay my parents process.

Koekoe, my documents arrived at NVC on April 10, and were not scanned into the system until April 15th. Looks like it takes 4-5 days. Try to call again tomorrow.

Called NVC and they said I need to have the new copy for the passport for them to be able to update my name.

I heard that Social Security is more than enough, you can do your passport later if you don't have it already. I would call them again.

The Netherlands also requires a pre-paid envelope.

They didn't tell us to bring an envelope; they just said to bring a postage stamp (Post.nl aangetekende brief sticker...about 7e?) for them to stick on their envelope.

I did some research asking a bunch of Canadian people that did EP about their experiences. Some sent it before AOS fee, some sent it after. Both worked out and eventually they were accepted. It doesn't matter when you send it. Some people got auto-reply to their email, while others did not. Don't worry if you don't receive an autoreply. Send your ENROLL email now, it takes 2-3 weeks to be accepted because they are getting 3000+ emails a day.

It might take longer than 2-3 weeks actually.. someone just told me their confirmation took about a month.. so 4 weeks

And no problem, I regularly lurk the forums lol it's my hobby to keep myself sane during this crazy immigration process

Most people don't read the booklet that comes with their TV etc cause it's so much to deal with hahahaaa so it's easier to ask then read.

I know it's lazy but it's in a odd way less stressful if someone answers a specific question. I think we read it but think, am I reading this right

Yes, it's true that most people don't bother to read instructions when they buy a TV. I think it may be easier and less time consuming to call a tech support when there is a problem.

Well, I think you should read what's available multiple times if you want to immigrate to the US ASAP. It's your immigration case and it's up to you to make your immigration process a smooth one or with delays due to RFEs and checklists.

I've also read some people getting the wrong information here. Well, nobody is a legal professional here. There is also a chance that you get the wrong answer if people misunderstand your questions. I think you need to be an educated "consumer" in order to use this thread.

I've read Saylin's NVC Process, James's Shortcuts, LinChe's Shortcuts, and the last 200 pages of this thread! Lots of information! My head hurts big time! LOL!

You are correct. I misread the instructions on the consulate website. (Might be a bit more than 7 euros to Limburg, I'll have to check it out.)

How long then that it take them to review AoS and IV packets once they receive the emails with scanned documents?

You do not have to wait to enroll after paying and you do not have to wait to pay. What you should do is wait for the ENROLL acceptance to send the packages. Some people have done it the other way successfully but others have issues. I prefer to do things in a certain order to eliminate issues.
