My fiance had her interview on the 18th and she was approved. They only thing missing was her medical paper work from St. Lukes. We got this interview date last minute so we had to rush her medical and her paper work did not arrive before her interview. After she was approved for the VISA I emailed the embassy a couple days later about her medical and they said they have received the medical. Her status was updated everyday till the 24th. That was last time they touched it and its stuck on AP. Whats going on with this? And I have recently e mailed them about this.

2014/1/28 Sent I129f application

2014/1/31 USCIS received petition
2014/2/12 I129f approved
2014/2/15 NOA2 hard copy recieved in mail
2014/02/21 MNL case # received, administrative processing
2014/02/25 in transit to US Embassy Manila
2014/02/26 Paid Visa fee and scheduled Interview

2014/03/11 Medical Evaluation
2014/03/18 Interview date *APPROVED*

I didnt think it would be this quick. We just gotta wait for the VISA to be mailed to her house and then the CFO seminar.

You just need to be patient, now that they have the medical file that will have to be reviewed, then the complete file will be reviewed and usually after that, if there are no problems, status will go to issued.

Are you tracking process on the CEAC site?

You just need to be patient, now that they have the medical file that will have to be reviewed, then the complete file will be reviewed and usually after that, if there are no problems, status will go to issued.

Are you tracking process on the CEAC site?

Yea its on AP and it hasnt been updated since 3/24

There was a question in another thread about whether USEM would refuse to interview with incomplete medical or just issue 221(g). Seems the latter is the case.

I am glad yours is moving along.

But her situation might be different because i dont know what you mean by incomplete. Her medical was complete with her vaccinations but just her paper work hasnt transferred to the embassy.

Its been three weeks since the interview and its been a week since the status changed to ready...why is this taking so long? Our whole k1 visa was approved in 2 in a half months...it been three weeks since the interview and her VISA still hasnt been issued. Is something wrong?

What was wrong as I recall is the medical file was not there for the interview, that can delay thing for WEEKS. You are just going to have to be patient.

What was wrong as I recall is the medical file was not there for the interview, that can delay thing for WEEKS. You are just going to have to be patient.

But when they receive it, they do just put it on the side? because they received it probably a day after interview. I wish they were someone here with an insight in the US embassy. It would be good to know why things get delayed and what to expect. In my case, its not so bad but I can imagine some of the cases being a lot worse.

Every case I have seen here on VJ where the medical file was not at the embassy for the interview took a few extra weeks before the visa was issued.

Just need to be patient and keep checking CEAC daily.
