Just an update: Already did 2 Service Request Inquiry for myself and my two K-2's one in December and January and this was the latest response I received:

January 22, 2015 : Your case is currently being reviewed by an adjudicator. If you do not receive a notice within 90 days, please submit a follow-up inquiry. Thank you for your patience.

However for one of the case numbers for my K-2 this was the response:

January 28, 2015: A review of our electronic systems shows that your case is within normal processing time. We are working toward processing your case without an interview (interview waiver). This will be accomplished at a date and time yet to be determined.

I want to be optimistic that anytime soon I will see a different status in my case when i check it online..

So after calling USCIS again today I get told my case is in Atalanta field office. I was told I will hear something by the 18th of this month (I'll not hold my breath). Even though I've had my EAD now for 8 months when they issue a green card it will still be for 2 years so I might of been working for almost 3 years before i can go for removal of conditions, this is a long process, longer than we thought it was going to be.

It's a great step in the right direction. Can you let the folks in the main Notice of Potential Interview Waiver thread know please? I know everybody would appreciate the info.

Mail was from USCIS office in Florida. Thats a little odd when my field office is Pittsburgh. i'm gonna go ahead to make an appointment.

Interview waiver cases sit at the National Benefits Centre (NBC) for many months waiting for their turn to be processed. The NBC do not adjudicate these cases though, they just hold them until a local field office becomes available to process them. The local office they send the case to is the office which has spare capacity to be able to process the case; this could be anywhere in the country. It has nothing to do with where you live. It has nothing to do with the office that has jurisdiction over your neighbourhood.

Getting your case to a local office is a major step forward and indicates there is now light at the end of the tunnel.

Come hang out with the other waiver case guys in the main 'Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case' thread. You'll be in good company and the thread holds lots of useful waiver info.

Congrats! Glad you're getting some kind of movement.... finally! I thought, or should I say hoped it was going to be processed at local offices, but I now know it doesn't work that way as I should be with Pittsburgh too. I will have to just wait my turn and hope that all the people who sent off forms in March/April or before then and got those awful waiver letters in May, June July etc, get their GC's ASAP, especially before the new immigration thing starts on Feb 18th..

I don't even think I am going to bother to look at the USCIS site any more, just get on with life and forget about it, although I do enjoy looking at posts on here and trying to find what out what method USCIS actually use to process these applications, as I don't see any rhyme or reason to it!!

If your letter came from the Florida office that is in fact very good news. They would have sent it to the Pittsburgh office if they required an interview. I can tell you this, if it is in fact at the Florida office, an InfoPass to the Pittsburgh office will be an asolute waste of time. They will be able to tell you as much as Tier 2. I have a question. When you call the National call number an enter your MSC #, where does it say your case is? (you can tell I did not go to Harvard, I ended a sentence with is)...Does it say the Missouri service center or Florida field office? (Well maybe 2 questions). I curious whether this message changes when a case is transferred.

This also tells us that yes they are working on NPIW cases by their Receipt/NOA1 dates and not the letter date. That is for the most part.

March 2014 filler, still waiting
Filled out and mailed all the paperwork for the EAD yesterday which expires in May, but really hope to get my green card before that. The reply to my last service request said that my case is in NBC pending adjudication and they cannot provide me an estimate date of its completion. Let's all hope for the best from USCIS
