Hi, April 2013 filer here. We just got our case number from NVC.

Notice 2: January 17, 2014 (Case transferred from NBC to Nebraska November 17, 2013)

Case arrived at NVC: January 29, 2014

Case number in system at NVC: March 10, 2014

They said 10-20 business days for the first correspondence, they have our email information. Hoping along with everyone else that each step of this does not take the maximum number of quoted days:) Thanks to this forum though I did request the Invoice ID# and Beneficiary ID# which were available if that ends up saving us any time.

Good luck everybody.

wow you waited around 40 days for a case number eh? I go a notice today and hoping for an approval today from NSC.

More waiting for time for me.. ranting33va.gif

Just bring an updated I-864 to the interview if you change jobs. Bring any new pay stubs and an employment letter with as well.

Added.

It is from the day he turned 16 -

They only want to know from 16 going forward. Even if he lived at the same place his whole life, you would enter the month and year when he turned 16

Give NVC about 10 days, then call to find out when they received your case. Then from the NVC receive date count about 30 working days or 6 weeks for your Case # being assigned. That is their current estimate.

Hope this helps.
