How did you filled MFS without SSN of spouse? As it doesnot except any characters...

I used TaxAct and filed with MFS status. It has a free federal EFile option.

Need help for filling 2013 Tax Return:

I think we have to file Married File Separately as we don't have spouse SSN information. So in this case we cannot use any website to file taxes? Do we have to go any accountant to file?

Please help if any one has been to this situation where you dont have SSN of spouse and you got married in 2013 and have to file your 2013 taxes.

I read that H & R Block online you can file MFS electronically.

But those of you who are almost at interview why bother. File an extension you will get letter from IRS with both your names and you can file MFJ when your spouse gets here and gets SS#.

What do you mean by H & R Block online? Does it accepts without putting spouse's SSN?

And I am not sure what option what we have to select if no SSN or what do we have to do if no SSN.

And i think it would be better to file it separately as I don't know what amount to mention when filling jointly if incase my spouse worked for 8 months in 2013 but in different country?

:dance: Praise God. I had no doubts. Did they love your baby album of what you have missed. Congratulations my friend. wooo whooo so thrilled for you.

Dwheels the amazing thing is the CO didn't ask me to show any document or album. He just kept asking me questions and i kept answering while making direct eye contact the whole time.

It lasted just for about 5mins and that was it!!!!

No. I did not have ITIN. I selected Non Resident Alien radio button as reason for not having SSN and TaxAct put NRA in SSN field!

This does not apply to you. Its the receipt K1's and others going through the embassy paying get.

Stop calling the embassy you are being handled through NVC.

Just make sure you have your CFO all done and all that paperwork that is specific to your country.

Do you remember I said the other day that we were told by NVC over the phone that our case is complete but they said there is one correction on the I-864 that we need to bring to the interview?

Well yesterday we received a checklist email from NVC. It was exactly the same as a normal checklist (had the barcode cover sheet and mailing instructions etc) but on page 3 it clearly says "we have finished reviewing your case" and it says please send the missing items detailed in the checklist to the applicant so he can present them at the interview.

This seems to confirm the person we spoke to was right and our case is indeed complete but it's just the format of the checklist that through me as it had the bar coded cover sheet and all that.

Do you think this is just the standard template they use and we can assume our case is complete and we just need to bring this correction to the interview and not to send them to NVC?

The checklist is because my wife did not put N/A to one of the questions and left it blank!

Hi friends please read and reply to my topic I will appreciate any inputs

I had my first interview on March 4, I got 221, I was asked to bring IRS transcripts for 2012, second additional interview was scheduled for March 20, I got transcripts for 2012 (which shows amount under powerty line) thats why I got with me his W2 and 1040 for 2013, payroll cheque for 2014, letter from his current job, I couldnt get transcripts for 2013 cos on that time he just had filed his 2013 tax so transcripts was not available to print, now I am waiting my third additional interview. My question is -

CO has not mentioned to update AOS but just to be sure I wanna ask it from you guys.

On filed AOS my hubby showed as his last tax year 2012 so now when he already has his return for 2013 should we update AOS or no?

May it be a reason for CO to postpone my visa issuing

Yes unfortunately their false checklist and real checklist templates are confusing. It says to bring to interview and when you get interview it will be on your list of items to bring so no worries.

Okay people is today interview start day? I say lets see. Oh boy . I love this time of month. Ya'll will see.
