Hey all! My husband and I are filling out the paperwork for AOS and I have a question on the I-864 form. On Part 6 number 5 it asks for current individual annual income. Well I have all my transcripts and tax information for 2012, 2011 and 2010 but for 2013 the only thing I have is my W2. I've not yet filed for 2013 yet. So my question is do I put my annual income for 2013 although I've not yet filed? Or do I put down what I have for 2012 since I have all those documents. I can provide a copy of my W2 along with all the other documents from the previous years if I need to do it that way. I'm just trying to figure the best way to do this. On that question you put what you are earning right now, before taxes are held out. If you earn $2000/mo, put $24,000.

In a previous year what if somebody was unemployed until October. Then they got a $2000/mo job. So their tax return would show Oct, Nov, Dec wages --$6000 for the year. But their current income is $24,000/yr. Question 6-5 does not come off a tax return. Question 6-13a,b,c comes off a tax return not a W2. Until April 15 you may use 2012 as the latest tax return because you have until then to file with the IRS. If you have already completed 2013 taxes, then use 2013 as the latest.
