Service request was made on 23 jan but when we called them again the representative said earlier service request was made for national benefit center but our case was transferred to nebraska so service req should be for nebraska .. so she again put service request and said call back after 15 days .. means around 15 feb... my question here is anybody experience the same thing.. after service request wat will happen and how much time it will take to approve our case. Please suggest. . Thanks in advance. .

OMG the same thing just happened to me on Friday. The tier 2 I was speaking to acted like the person who entered the original service request was an idiot and he didn't know why he sent it to the NBC.. He said he fixed it and now it has been sent to the TSC. Its looking like it is a new way to stall yet again. #######????

This is crazy

I m not able to understand. . How they are doing their work.if the cases are still pending then how they can update the priority dates?. Now we are making service requests so that they can have more time..I m tired of this .. This process is really disturbing me. .

That is sickening and crazy. I think it's wise to spread word out on VJ that when people call and place a service request, that you are very clear and specific in telling the agent to make the service request to the appropriate service center, not NBC. Not that we need to tell the idiots paid to do their job but seems like whenever one calls customer service, you have to be more knowledgeable than them to get them to do their job right. Let's spread word around on VJ so others don't go through this #######. Make sure you mention this in the email that you send to service center.... and unsure if that scopsdata email is still offline...

apparently the SR should end in the service center it is being sent to . Mine SHOULD have ended in TSC but they both ended in MSC. I didn't think anything of it because my case numbers begin with MSC. When I hung up with the officer on Friday I wanted to kick myself for not asking if the SR # is the same... The tier 1 told me there is a backlog of SR's so they aren't answering them by the date given... I told him its because everyone is so pissed off that their case is taking this long.. Of course they are putting an SR in. He wasn't too happy with me. After I got transferred, the tier 2 started off my saying that both my cases were at the NBC... After I told him they were transferred, he dug a little deeper and then said I was correct.... well, DUHHHHH ya think? I did get verification that the backlog IS due to the DACA and provisional waivers. Im so pissed off that we were all pushed aside for ILLEGALS who broke the law and are now getting rewarded with priority processing. ( GAG GAG GAG) even the waivers are getting processed first. God forbid the illegals go back to their own country and wait it out...

If I were you, I'd be making serious noise about my K-3. My lawyer didn't think we needed it in the beginning so we didn't file ours til October. If I filed mine in APRIL, I'd be all over them about it. As it is now, I only have 3.5 months in for the K3. ALMOST 10 months for the I-130. ( SIGH)

I still have another service request in the system and I got my PA senators involved and a congresswoman (useless).

I'll wait for the answer of the 2nd SR and then I'll see what else I can do

This is ridiculous. Does any one have a plausible explanation as to why illegal immigrant cases are being processed first? Is there some kind of political reason?

Side note : Even my SR ends with MSC but my case has been transferred to NSC. So I have to talk to USCIS again tomorrow about that. Fun times!

I finally got my NOA2 on Jan 31.. after 1 WHOLE YEAR of waiting for it. No kidding. My NOA1 was Jan 31 2013, and NOA2 was Jan 31, 2014.

I went through all the same ####### as you guys.

What worked for me in the end was the congressman (we think!). We first contacted the congressman's office at the beginning of November. Because of Thanksgiving and then Christmas, no one was really too keen to try to do anything about our case.

Well, I finally called them yet again on Wednesday this last week. After finally explaining my whole story AGAIN, they seemed to actually clue in to how long it has been. The liaison promised me she would contact the district manager from USCIS to inquire about our case. Then on friday, my husband got a call from the Orlando field office because they had lost our marriage certificate and his birth certificate. He hauled ### into the office with the documents and then the officer said he was approving our case. A few hours later it showed up on the website (and that's the first time the website ever showed anything for us).

So, we think it was the call that the liaison made that did it. Or it could have been the ombudsman, because we had a request in to their office but never heard anything back. Or maybe it was the fact that we kept harassing everyone.

But the moral of the story---service requests are pointless and do nothing. You need to get congressman involved, ombudsman, and go do an infopass. Sometimes those work.

Good luck!

IR1/CR1 Visa - We are using a lawyer!

Embassy: Montreal, Canada

USCIS

22 Jan 2013 -- packageSent
31 Jan 2013 -- NOA1 from NBC

6 Mar 2013 -- I130 transferred to Orlando local field office (which started the whole nightmare)

Mar 2013 to October 2013 no one would tell us where our case was or what was happening. I suspected the whole time it was just sitting in a corner somewhere in the Orlando field office. I was pretty much right.

October 2013 - get congressman involved. Congressman asks USCIS repeatedly about our case but they won't even tell them anything.

31 Jan 2014- finally get NOA2!!!! (we think the nightmare is over!)

NVC

Our case was not sent from the Orlando field office as it should have been. The nightmare continues. We kept calling NVC and asking if they received our case, and they always said "NO" and that we had to wait 90 business days for it to be received. We called USCIS during this time and they kept telling us it had been sent. After the 90 days of agonizing frustration, NVC then started telling us we had to wait 120 business days. I got our congressman involved again, and they told the congressman it was sitting at the Orlando office this whole time (just as I thought it was!).

22 Apr 2014 -- NVC received
16 May 2014 -- NVC case number assigned
24 May 2014 -- AoS and IV bills paid

28 May 2014 -- Sent AoS and IV Packages

6 June 2014 -- documents scanned

18 July 2014 -- false checklist from NVC

21 July 2014 -- Case complete

28 July 2014 -- receive case complete email from NV

30 July 2014 -- interview booked! September 11 here I come!

Embassy
04 Sept 2014 -- Medical
11 Sept 2014 -- Interview - APPROVED!!!!
15 Sept 2014 -- Package arrived at Loomis location!!!
