I am finally done with my paperworks.. I had my oath ceremony on may 30th. I still can't believe that i am us citizen now. last step is to get my passport. Thank you guys for all the help and Good Luck to those who's still waiting.

@Dcm011: As far as the USCIS website states - 10 days after the Oath Ceremony, go to SSA field office to update info. I really don't think they do it automatically for us, we still need to go and fill out some paperwork. And it says 10 days so the new status can update in the govmnt system.

Update from us: FINALLY got scheduled for the Oath Ceremony - June 13th! :)

I'll wait until it passes to mark my timeline in red tho... :P

A quick question to those who already had their oath ceremony. Did you guys go to social security office to update your ssn. Or are they updating it automaticly? Thanks!

Nothing is automatically updated at SS. You have to go to get it updated. Congrats!

I passed my interview today. I hope soon I will get my oath ceremony letter.

I've been waiting for over 60 days now. Let me know what they say on the phone.

Well I just called.

I didn't receive any information from the person at USCIS that I couldn't have found on the website, was a waste of time. Basically, my filing office is still dealing with N-400s from September 2013 so I probably have at least 6 months before my interview is scheduled according to the USCIS lady.

I hope your filing center is more efficient than mine, at this rate I won't get my interview scheduled until December/January, and won't be done with all this until February/March 2015.

I'm in Wichita and was curious if our field office was comparable to ones around here, so I looked up the stats at http://dashboard.uscis.gov/

The OKC office has almost five times more cases, but similar completions per month, hence the lag.

Wow, those charts are interesting. Wichita looks highly efficient, OKC looks swamped and I'm assuming understaffed for the number of cases. Hopefully things will get moving, but at least there's some explanation for the delay - thanks for posting.

Well I just called.

I didn't receive any information from the person at USCIS that I couldn't have found on the website, was a waste of time. Basically, my filing office is still dealing with N-400s from September 2013 so I probably have at least 6 months before my interview is scheduled according to the USCIS lady.

I hope your filing center is more efficient than mine, at this rate I won't get my interview scheduled until December/January, and won't be done with all this until February/March 2015.

The USCIS’s field office processing time shown online is two months behind the actual processing time. If you look at it, you will see that the last time it was updated was in April, showing “September” as the date the last case was processed. This means the actual case being processed currently is November, which puts your application to finish processing in 3 months (the actual oath included). This means it’s possible you can get scheduled for interview next month or two. Besides, the online processing time isn’t always accurate. For example, my field office (buffalo) is currently processing a case from November (two months behind will put it in January) but I got schedule for interview in May and will take the oath on June 19. There are several cases on here where the USCIS representative told them the same thing you were told, yet, they had their interviews scheduled the next month or so. Just thought that I share this.

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay in updating my case... I was very upset and needed the time to cool down.

My interview went ALMOST perfectly: I was sworn in, we did the 6 questions first and I got all of them correct right away. Then we went through my application question-by-question. Everything was going well, the officer was friendly and I was actually enjoying the interview up to this point. It was when we got to the "Have you ever been arrested, cited, or detained... for any reason" question that things went wrong.

I had listed two traffic tickets (both under $500 fines) on my application that I received in 2009 and 2010. I was given an N-14 Request for Evidence at the end of my interview that says I need to send court-certified dispositions for my tickets, within 30 days of my interview, before my application can be approved.

I am incredibly frustrated and very sad. I disclosed these tickets as a sign of good moral character, but now that my approval is delayed I feel like I am being punished for being honest.

The worst part is I received these tickets when I lived in another (very far away) state and it's been a nightmare trying to contact the courts for these documents. Both court houses have told me they destroy records for small tickets like mine after three years anyway. I've written a letter to my interview officer requesting a deadline extension. We'll see what happens. Fingers crossed. :(
