CNN actually mentioned they didn't cover this when it first came out because of some other story. I think they said something about that actor I had never heard of dying in that car crash. Now all the sudden they give the guy 2 hours live. I thought he did a great job.

Americans are reaping what they sow, journalism is shoddy in the US, at all levels.

Americans as a whole? You mean like all Americans are responsible for shoddy journalism?

I'm interested in your theory on this broad generalization and your apparent disdain for an entire population.

He should resign.

I finally got around to reading it..That is awful..I think the aide should be prosecuted.

Disdain? Where did you get that from? However, yes Americans as a body are responsible for the news output that they get. American journalism wasn't always like this, or did you think that it was always fluff pieces which have bylines like "You'll be amazed about what I tell you next - You'll not believe what we have to show you" and all the rest of the 'entertainment' shows and opeds that pass for journalism in the US today? Perhaps you are one of the ones who believes this is in fact news?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

He did nothing. His people did a lot. It's going to come down to whether he had knowledge or not. There's a lot of stuff redacted in the document which will be revealed later. I think he'll be fine as far as staying Governor (he won't have to resign) but this stuff will move numbers in a primary or general.

He's going to be tied up in a public inquiry at the very least.

Is it likely she acted without his knowledge? I really don't know.

IMO - it is unlikely she acted without his knowledge. It is not unlikely that her specific course of action was one she chose herself, without the Guv's input. It's very plausible - again, IMO - that the Guv asked her to teach someone a lesson and she decided that shutting down the GWB on the anniversary of 9/11 was how she was going to do it.

When they played footage of him saying I'm sad and describing his overall emotion as sadness, my apolitical wife broke out into laughter and said oh he's so pathetic. I do think that's what he was going for - pathetic. Because no one expects a politician to go for pathetic so since he did, he has to be telling the truth, right?

Either he's a master at his game (in which case he deserves to be President) or he really is pathetic.
