I don't have favorites but when I see people waiting so long and finally get that Interview I have to tell it. Now no one tops Romainticminds waiting from August 2012 until June 1013 for interview but

My wife and stepson were approved at their Embassy interview. The interview literally lasted five minutes. My wife was only asked 4 questions and my stepson was not asked a single question. Considerin

No problem. Now we wait. And really there's no cutoff if there are slots they keep filling until they are fill. That's why at times you will see someone get a date out the blue (but usually those or less busy embassies.). Like Iceland you will surely get an interview date the same day as case Complete.

Do y'all ever get bored waiting?

For me in past 10 months.. It's been studying what is coming ahead, reading, getting documents, translations, getting extra documents, copies, writing emails to everyone, calling, and checking status. I even put together everything from I-130 to now just in case everything gets lost in the mail (even all originals) and sent to my wife. I even sent extra stuff that I didn't feel like I provided strong enough evidence. Now just sitting back and feel helpless. No point in calling NVC (waiting for interview and P4). No point in writing political officials (Nothing is wrong and I'm in processing times). No point in calling the embassy (they don't have case yet). Out of all this time, I have nothing to do or can do. I am itching to call the embassy but need to wait.......

I guess it just upsets me I'm going to miss our first anniversary together and there is nothing I can do on anything. Just sit and wait...

For me in past 10 months.. I even put together everything from I-130 to now just in case everything gets lost in the mail (even all originals) and sent to my wife. Totaly understand how you feel.. Every morning i start my day with checking my email box.. with great hope to find P4 letter even I know that scheduling haven't started yet.. Hope this coming week will bring the good news for all of us in this thread

Funny how the wait for interview date then the endless wait for the actual Interview seems the most nerve racking. Because its all out of your control.

You will get the fun if you choose to follow your petition to the embassy. I did that all the way to Ben Obi signing for it. hehe. I miss calling NVC 3 and 4 times a day i had good times and always learned good stuff that I help people with now.

Just hang on you will get to witness the joy and euphoria and pain of interview scheduling next week. When that first "I got a date xx/xx/xx" is announced its crazy fun.

You are so right! I and my housband are waiting for this moment 9 years ... :( I waited until he took the green card then the passport .... Then all this procces and now we are waiting for interview. When I took the email P4 after a 10 weeks of waiting ( after case complet at NVC) I was with him and we did cry together we were at one party .... ? I couldend' stop crying was ..... I can't explain my selfe what feeling was. Now I am afraid because is somthing that we don't know ,but all I know is if you love someone more than yourselfe you can do some things that was impossible to possible. ❤ I wish all the best for you all!

Bored is an understatement. I'm in the same boat, have everything lined up just in case, and my wife has all of that stuff also, we got double the originals/copies they asked for just in case. I'm still waiting on case complete but it should be coming shortly. I'm about two weeks behind your timeline while at NVC. I too will miss my first anniversary together (next weekend). But we'll be making up for it for sure and just celebrating it together later. (we'll be skyping all day the day of though).

I'm actually looking forward to THAT wait. I don't think ANY of these first parts have truly been in my control. I've been apprehensive since day one due to the vagueness of the entire process. So many different requirements from each country, dealing with customer service reps, professional services, and those who have experienced the process - which seems to change so often, even the "professionals" can't always seem to keep up. At least once I get the interview date I can REALLY start preparing for my wife's arrival.

And ya, witnessing the perseverance of everyone else in this 'community' has helped keep me strong as well. I love reading everyone else's comments, and sometimes it's just nice knowing I'm not the only person going through all this - because surely no one that ISN'T experiencing any of this really has no idea what we're all going through.

This last year of waiting has tested my patience, and I can't even begin to imagine how it would feel waiting 9 years. Godspeed with the rest of your process.

Dec 19, 2013 - Received case number by calling NVC
Dec 21, 2013 - Submitted DS-261 online
Dec 25, 2013 - Paid AOS fee online (Merry Christmas!!!)
Dec 27, 2013 - AOS fee payment cleared bank, so mailed AOS package to NVC. Paid IV package fee online
Dec 30, 2013 - IV fee payment cleared bank, so mailed IV package to NVC
Dec 31, 2013 - AOS package arrived at NVC

Jan 24, 2014 - Received checklist via email (said reviewed DS-260 and instructed me to send in civil documents). I called NVC to verify I can ignore checklist and they said yes, to ignore it.
Jan 27, 2014 - Called NVC and was told that our case is complete and that we're just waiting for an interview appointment date.
Jan 29, 2014- Called NVC and was told that our interview was scheduled for March 10, 2014. Also registered for St Luke medical exam online.
Jan 30, 2014 - Received P4 letter in email.
US Embassy (Manila) / Medical (St. Luke's)
- called embassy every day after the interview, during AP status and after visa status changed to "Issued," asking about status update and visa delivery timeframe
Feb 4-5, 2014 - Wife went to medical exam (took two days), results mailed to US Embassy in Manila.
Feb 7, 2014, Package sent from NVC to US Embassy in Manila (according to NVC phone operator).
Feb 10, 2014 - CEAC website updated case as "In Transit."
Feb 11, 2014 - DHL website shows case as delivered to US Embassy in Manila.
Feb 12, 2014 - Called US Embassy in Manila and interview rescheduled for Feb 25th.
Feb 25, 2014 - "Approved," but we have to submit CENOMAR then wait for visa after it's processed, so I guess technically it's in Administrative Processing (AP).
Mar 17, 2014 - CEAC website, visa status changed to "Issued." Now we wait for pickup/delivery.
Mar 21, 2014 - Juvy picked up visa from 2GO location, got CFO stamp, and I booked her ticket.
Mar 22, 2014 - Juvy left Manila, through Japan and Detroit, and finally onto Houston!! :-)
THE REST OF MY LIFE CAN NOW OFFICIALLY BEGIN!!!
