I just called and got Case Complete how long does it take to get the email as confirmation?

Well it has been taking 5 to 7 days to get case complete email from the date they Case Complete.

How long after Case Complete will I get an interview?

Okay this is the BIG mystery of NVC. How it usually goes is end of the month and first week of month they start scheduling for interviews for the that upcoming month. Since January they have been pretty consistent starting about the last 2 days of the month and finishing that following first week of next month

Do I have to call for my interview date?

NVC has improved greatly since March. The interview letter now comes day of schedule. So call if you want its up to you.

I know someone who got interview in the middle of the month. How is that possible?

Usually when you see someone pop up with an interview outside the bunch its usually the result of a cancellation or the embassy opening up a slot. Just because scheduling stops doesn't mean they filled up all slots. They may have more slots than appointments which is good. So someone gets case complete and immediately they get an interview. It happens.

Remember every embassy has its own slots and schedule. Some like El Salvador are very busy with a long waiting list. Some like Yemen, well it may be a few months to get in. Iceland you get interview immediately scheduled after case Complete.

I need to change our interview date what do I do?

Once you receive your interview date track your casefile. Call NVC ask when your casefile left than you can follow the DHL instructions to embassy. The contact your embassy (email is best) and ask to be rescheduled later, earlier just ask.

My dear friends, I am not sure if the NVC has changed their format for CASE COMPLETE emails.

I was given sample Case Compete email formats by other VJ members before

but the one I received a few days ago seems different from those emails sent by NVC before the September 1, 2013 reform

If this is the case, we just MIGHT not need to track transit of Case completes from NVC to our respective local US Embassies for interview.

Besides the DS261 and DS260 online forms, payment portal, etc. that's new, the CASE COMPLETE email that I got

includes, surprisingly, my interview schedule! From what I gathered, after case complete, people I know from this forum

seems to wait for a little while longer for their interview dates...hmmmm...am I mistaken? But the email I got

not only informed me of a Case complete, but it included my interview date and my P4 already.

Anyway, just thought of sharing this to everyone--for some of you, curious cats, out there ***wink wink

It just MIGHT provide answers to some. But if not, well, I was just trying to share...

It was strange for me receiving the P4 instead, when I was only expecting a Case Complete email. Pleasurably surprising!

I have been calling NVC like every other day and they said my case complete was November 25, 2013.

My P4 is dated November 29, and received it November 30. I have no complaints about it, though. Any which way, it was all good news!

(And sorry for having caused you to rummage your "archives" to check...lol)

Awwww aren't you a dear. It's really weird how they do things. i mean case complete letter is a week later. i only say a week later cuz well us VJ folk usually hear because we call. NVC is use to emails sending things out. Someone had said if you never called NVC and waited for email or snail mail it would take about 5 months.

The P4 Interview letter use to also take a week back in january and then it changed and now its within hours. I know I was on phone with the NVC asking about my interview back in March and she said didn't you get our email. It had arrived 20 minutes before while i was on that long hold. LOL

Dwheels76 I have a question. You make a great job and update every case , have you any idea about us embesy/ consulate in albania about IR-1 cases how long they take generally to schedule an interview? Beacause we call NVC and thay say depends on consulate , we call DOS they say depends on NVC we don't know what to belive now.
