Changing Fiance Address After NVC

I am extremely confused! And currently on hold with the NVC. I recently called to make my interview with the embassy. They told me I had to register online to make the interview. I created an account and began registering. Then this happened:

Enter the exact Consular location and date from the appointment letter you received from the National Visa Center (NVC), Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) or Consular Section. Do not enter false or different appointment information than what is on your notification letter. Do not continue with this process if you have not received an appointment letter from the NVC, KCC or Consular Section.

He hasn't received a letter yet, it only left the NVC for London on the 14th of November. My main problem is, his address wasn't updated to his current address. I tried to change his when I contacted the NVC a week ago. They said I had to change his address with the Embassy at London. When I spoke with the Embassy just now, they said I had to change it with the NVC. Does anyone have any experience with this?!

Well you can't make a K1 appointment with London. I suspect you got somebody who was discussing non-immigrant appointments like visitor visas or student visas. Different process. And you don't log in or create accounts yet either.

He will wait until London sends an instruction letter. However, since he won't get the letter, you can call DOS and ask if London has received the file and sent his letter.

Once you know London has the file and sent a letter, he can follow the K1 instructions online. The actual letter isn't important. It just provides the link to the London instructions which are here --

Fill out the form with the proper address and his address will be changed. The interview letter will go to the address he puts on the new forms.

He isn't even allowed inside the embassy without that letter in his hand, so it is very important he recieve it. Maybe plicy has changed recently.

Also, they have received the file. And no, I cant make my own appointment. But I was told I needed to make an account here https://usvisa-info.com/

after clicking on the immigrant visa button. Infact the person I was speaking to on the phone made the account for me.

Yeah? So, if you follow Nich-Nick's advice, then you should get the interview letter to the correct address! I don't understand? You don't need Packet 3 instructions to get in the embassy, which is the only thing you should get to the old address at this point, following the instructions above.

Sometimes the interview letter just never shows up, even when they do have the correct address...

Re-read the post above by Nich-Nick. There is no link to changing the address. You change your address by correctly completing the application forms with the new address.

I am aware of what "Packet 3" is. The Packet 3 letter does not contain an interview date. That would be what we call "Packet 4" - a single page letter with an interview date on it.

All I know is ive gotten all the paperwork together, his medical is scheduled, he submitted his "readyness form" after completing the DS160, and now were suppost to wait for that stupid letter with his interview date. They dont label them "packets" so this is very confusing. Also because I cant seem to change one simple address.

You mention application forms. What application forms. All the applications we are required to complete are done. The embassy has no way of knowing he has relocated to a new address without them being informed in some way.

On the DS-160 and DS-2001, did you list his current, correct, address? When did you return those forms? It'll take about 6 weeks before you hear about your interview date, and you can call DoS to find out if it's been scheduled. They should send the interview letter to the address he put on those forms.

If you did not put his correct address on those forms, then you'll need to contact the embassy directly, yes. I still suggest the contact form on the other thread you have going - put your address in the first communication if you want. You can call DoS in the meantime to check if an interview date has been scheduled, and if so, for when.

Your timeline is currently out of date and does not report your returning of Packet 3 items (i.e. DS-160 and DS-2001)..

He applies for a K1 visa with form DS-160. That is his application form.

(Anything you sent before to USCIS was filing a PETITION.)

So you said he did the DS-160. What address did he put on the form DS-160 when he filled it out? Old address or new address? If he put his new address on the DS-160, then he has changed his address as I explained eleven days ago.
