Hello Everyone,

Had my interview on 21st November 2013. It was for F2B (Unmarried sons/daughters of LPR) and my mom who is LPR filed my case. The processing by NVC started in February and date become current in November bulleting. Alhumdullilah I am appproved for VISA and given 1 week time. I kept reciting hasbunallah hoo wa nay mal wakeel, nay mal moula wa nay mun naseer during all interview process and i recommend every one to do same. Here goes the story:

I booked Metro Cab a day before for 5 am on 21st Nov. Cab arrived on time and i reached Diplomatic Enclave shuttle area by 5:25 am. The door was not opened yet and guards told that it will be open by 6 am. There were a few people standing there already. It was fajar time so i asked guard if i can offer prayer inside, he said if i am bawazoo he can offer me prayer mat to offer prayer right there (I really appreciate and very thankful to that guard who help me in offering prayer otherwise i would not be able to offer prayer on time, may Allah help him everywhere). The gate opened by 6:15 am and we were allowed to enter with formal checking. This was check post 1. Then there was 2nd check post where the guard instructed people to deposit their BAGS. He did formal checking and allowed to enter. There was big hall where 2 counter were operational for shuttle ticket. The counter where USA was written was without any attendant, by luck i was in another counter queue and the attendant there told me that he can issue US Embassy shuttle ticket as well. He took my passport and charge me 200 rupees and issue me ticket. Then on left most side there was MOBILE deposit counter, i deposited my mobile and took reciept from him.

The guard at shuttle service entry told me that staff has not arrived yet so you have to wait in queue. I was the first on queue. AFter almost 20 minutes he allowed us to enter, This is check post 3 where he checked us thoroughly, see my file folder inside and let me get in (You can take your wallets, key chains

with you). After entering this is shuttle waiting area and a guy was asking the embassy name and making us sit in order. He told us that shuttle will start at 07:15 am. By that time he started sending us one by one in shuttle service and in order. Once it was full it started its journey towards embassy. It was 10 mins

drive and we reached there. By this time i become second in line as another family bypassed me. We entered in Embassy now, there were 2 lines, one for NIV and one for IV. I picked IV line and they issued me token. My token number was 6, which means there were some other persons already sitting before us and they were VIPs. Here comes Checkpost 4. They told us to take out everything from wallet to key chain to belt...pass me from scanner and then inspect me thoroughly. Then there was finger print section and that was a bit slow as there was only 1 counter for IV finger prints. It took me 20 minutes there, they asked me for 2 photos without glasses, but i told him that i have with glasses as this was written in photo guidelines of us visa.

There was phillipine lady on finger print. Then i went to waiting area of interview. There was screen installed whcih was showing current window and serving number. There was token calling with window number and at the same time it was on screen as well. The calling was not in sequence and i got my turn after 20-30 minutes. During first call they took my passport and medical. He asked me whether i am married. I said i am single so he took my sign on a form that i wont marry till entry to usa. AT first i didnt read the paper and just signed hehe, later i asked officer if i can read it again, he said AAP KO PARHLENA CHAYE THAA, BUT PHIR BHE ME AAP KO PARHA DETA HOON, he was very nice and polite. He then asked me whether i want interview in urdu or english, i said in URDU. and thats the wise move to give interview in native language whether you know english or not. Then he told me to sit wait for another call. After almost 20 minutes i got final call and i kept reciting the ayat which i mentioned above. There was american lady who welcome me with SALAM ALAIKUM, i said walikum as salam, she asked AAP KAISEY HOO, i said me theek hoon aap kaisee hain, she siad me theek hoon...Then she took oath ME QASAM KHATA HOON K SACH BOLONGA AUR JHOOT BOLON TO VISA NA MILE...She asked me:

Who is sponsoring you, i said my mom.

Where she lives

WHen she got her LPR

How many sister and brother you have, are they going with you.

Where is your father

What is your mother's date of birth.

She was very nice and polite and all goes well alhumdullilah. Then she handed over me my original documents and told me that i can get my passport after 1 week. wow...i asked IS IT APPROVED. she said YES...alhumdullilah many thanks to Allah who guided me in every step. One this is, dont lie, just be honest and speak truth. Things were completed so soo smoothly that i never thought of it. Its all blessing of reciting that dua. Thank you every one in this forum who shared their story and guide everyone.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing your experience. Your status will change in a few days Insha'Allah. BTW, why do you think you made the right choice by choosing your native language instead of English? Can you explain a bit? Thanks.

Congrats!!!!

I kept reciting hasbunallah hoo wa nay mal wakeel, nay mal moula wa nay mun naseer during all interview process and i recommend every one to do same.

Don't do that in security line at a US airport. It rubs them the wrong way.

Thank you Naina...Because the native english speakers speak very rough english and God forbid if you misunderstood something OR you speak something else instead of what you want to convey then it might give wrong impression to CO and create doubts, another reason is URDU is not COs native language so you can better get the idea what i am trying to say :) ...They wont mind if you interview in urdu, it only matters once you are in US and giving interview for your GC.

Congrats!!!!

Alhamdulillah and insha'Allah you get through AP quickly!

Another thing i want to mention is that if you are moving from another city, arrive 2-3 days earlier because Pakistan conditions are a bit unpredictable so it is better to take care. I live in Karachi and i arrived ISB 1 day earlier so that i could get used to of weather as well. Its cold here and morning temp is around 6-8*C. So come prepared for cold. .

Sorry for not updating, i got my passport with visa on 05th Dec 2013 alhumdullilah. It is delayed and they only dispatch it once i send query via their ISB embassy website. So advice for everyone that if you dont hear them after 1 week of ISSUED status, drop a query from their website.
