6-8 weeks for CSC filers. We got ours in 5 weeks. I did notice though that TSC filers get their case #s quicker. So you may not need to wait as long as we did. Good luck!

Thank you for the reply , i should probably wait for one more week before calling NVC, did you receive a notification from USCIS that they sent it to NVC or DOS?

TSC filers get notification. Since we were from CSC, we didn't get any.

We waited a month before we started calling because we didn't want to get depressed or upset. Instead, we concentrated on gathering materials for the interview (NBI, Birth Certificate, Cenomar, more photos and evidences etc).

I hope we will receive notification too, but its been 10 days already, well i guess we will just wait, besides the approval of our case with USCIS is way quicker than what we thought of the normal process.

Good luck to your interview :)

Hi,

Yours was processing at TSC like mine and they were pretty fast sent to NVC. I've got my case number a week after my fiance received NOA-2 hardcopy by mail which means less than 2 weeks from approval date. My fiance never received text or email notification but I did get the information on the USCIS website when they shipped to NVC. That was a week after approval. Below how it says when they shipped my case to NVC.

Post Decision Activity

On October 17, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

Good luck.

That is the number NVC keeps tossing out there. I have seen some getting their MNL # within about 4 weeks, but things are slow at NVC for sure as of late.

There is info in my link below.

You're welcome. Note on that, I called both NVC and Dos. I prefer DoS because I did not have to wait 30 minutes to get hold one of them, in fact, I got my case number from DoS (Visa Unit) not NVC.

Other thing, better NOT to call them in the morning (their time). When first time I made a call, I was thinking before better to call in the morning (night time on my side) because not too many callers. But they told me they still don't upload my case yet. Weird that after I called in the afternoon, the lady on the phone finally gave my case number.

So I'm guessing they started working in the morning to input all data into system and showing up in afternoon or many hours after working time was finished for them. I always get an update on USCIS or CEAC website morning time in my country which means at night in US.

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I called them 2 .00 AM at my local time. DoS is not US embassy in Jakarta. They are different though embassy is part of DoS. DoS is in US and here is their number, +12024857600. Good luck and keep us posted.
