If you've got your NOA-2 hardcopy, it means they sent your I-129F to NVC already. Most of times, I dealt with USCIS website. My fiance never got any notification by email or text except for NOA-1. your I-129F was processing at TSC so should be already sent to NVC,

Mine was approved on October 11, 2013, and shipped to NVC on October 17. My fiance got NOA-2 hardcopy by mail a week later after shipped. And then, I started calling NVC a week after my fiance got NOA-2 hardcopy. More further information, just take a look my K-1 timeline on signature. Good luck!

Go to USCIS website and put your receipt number and you'll get this message:

Post Decision Activity

On October 17, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

I called both NVC and DoS (Visa Unit). But I prefer DoS better because I did not have to wait longer. When I called NVC they put me on hold almost 30 minutes. You can call both if you want.

These are the numbers: NVC ( +16033340700) and DoS (+12024857600). Good luck

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the K-1 Case Progress subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

If you got NOA-2 hardcopy that is mean you file already in the embassy , call NVC and take your new NVC case number then track it through

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

in our case it took 3 days from the day that we got our number from NVC.

luck

@salie_adnan: They do say it takes 8 weeks, but def keep calling NVC. Our NOA2 was Sept 11th, I got case # from NVC when I called on Oct 21st, although it reached them Oct 18th acc to CEAC website. You can use your case # for tracking on this link https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

It is frustrating, but such is the process, inshallah all will go soon with you. Good luck :)

i just called them and they say it can take 8 weeks for them to received and able to get case Number sad.png

They told me those words as well. But hey, I've got my case number less than 2 weeks. I have unlimited subscription call on Skype, their numbers on my favorite list, and I call them as often as I want.

No harm to try. wink.png .
