Hey :)

has anyone experience with how long it takes to hear back from the NVC research?

As of right now nobody knows what happened to my case or where it is at... We got our NOA2 approval back on July 18th, now over 3 months later the NVC has still not received our case, yet the USCIS resists that they have sent it out in the beginning of August and that the NVC must have it!

We were told to send an email with a scan of our NOA2 to the NVC research. Now I wonder how long it will lake to finally get some news.

Thank you!!

Ours took one week with no positive news. I would speak to a Tier 2 at USCIS on your case to ensure it was in fact sent to NVC and not NRC. I know the wait time to NVC is 6-8 weeks but you are well beyond that.

My fiancé and I just got of the phone with NVC and USCIS... After waiting for an hour we finally got to speak to a Tier 2 officer at the USCIS and the lady was really helpful good.gif

She told us that they were 100% certain, that our case had been send to the NVC and nowhere else on August 14th.

The USCIS is now going to contact the NVC about our case and we should hear back from them (with hopefully good news) within the next 5 days.

Let's keep our fingers crossed!

That's wonderful news! Normally if it is way past the time they will kick things into gear and help. So glad you got through!

Yes! finally somebody who is actually willing to help... I really hope that things will pick up again. I still have a little hope left that I might be able to spend Christmas with my fiancé in the states. :)

I will keep you updated as soon as we hear back from the USCIS or NVC. ;)

Yes, we have that hope too, but now NVC is holding our petition until the embassy in Frankfurt has openings. I find this hard to believe though. I may email the embassy to validate what i was told. ;)

Is the embassy in Frankfurt so overloaded? I didn't know that... Let me know what you find out ;)

I hope they have an opening in for you soon!

I didn't think they were but our case is not in administrative processing and two people have told me they're waiting on the embassy so we shall see. :)
