Regarding the NOA2 Expiration Date

I have a general question regarding the expiration date listed on the NOA2. If I remember correctly (since I don't have it in front of me) our NOA2 will expire around the end of November. How exactly does the expiration date relate or affect our case? We are currently waiting on our appointment date, but since November is not too far away we're curios to know if the date will have any bearing.

Yes the date has some relevance. if I recall correctly, you have to have your interview scheduled before the expiration date. The CO at the embassy will extend the date if they need to. Our expired while in AP. I had emailed the embassy and called DOS a week later. DOS confirmed the date was extended. Some will say after the interview it has no bearing..... But if that was the case not sure why our date was extended after the interview.

Your letter from London (packet 3 which is not a packet) will tell you if you don't finish the process before expiration of the petition, they want a notarized letter of intent from the American. See a copy of the letter here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/?p=6424623

Before anybody else panics....It's a London thing and does not apply to other consulates.
