Heyyy folks, getting pretty frustrated with the NVC right about now.

The USCIS process went smooth as a babies bottom, so from the beginning I figured the process will be a breeze. Boy was I wrong =/..

My case now resides at the NVC office, and it seems as if it'll never leave from there. I paid for the AOS and IV packet fees, and submitted all forms necessary. Waited the 20 days for a response, and recieved the same RFE.. Confused, sent the same docs. Here I am, about 4 attempts and 3 months later, and the NVC is STILL sending me the same RFE's!! All supporting documents are together and filled properly. My patience is running slim, and time is really not on my side. I am currently waiting with my wife here in Jordan, and can't sit here too long. I'm not too sure what to do. Helpless, I replied to the NVC with the documents, and now I guess I'll be waiting another 20 days for just some more RFE's =/.

Anyone experienced this, or have any advice? I explained my situation and requested for an expedite, but still haven't heard back from them about it.

Thans in Advance!

If they are sending you RFEs, then you are NOT sending the correct documents. Try to figure out what is wrong with them. I guarantee you they are wrong, so assuming they are right and sending the same things over and over will not help. If you post what you have been sending and what the RFE is for, then maybe people here can help.

I def am replying the correct paperwork. I mean, I can't go wrong with sending them a copy of her passport bio, our marriage certificate, her birth certificate, and police certificate from Jordan. Those are the four things they claimed they have not recieved. I sent all the above, ALONG with translated copies so as to avoid future problems.

i am still waiting to review my RFE AOS..

Only problem with constantly calling them is I am out here in Jordan lol. I did have my dad call them as he is in America. He called them and said that it seems that the pdf file might have been too large and did not attach properly. They told my dad to have me send each paper/document individually which I did earlier today. Other than that, I don't really know what else to do :(

Good luck to you too!!

for Jordan they do not want the marriage certificate, they want a copy of the marriage contract, in Arabic with the english translation. So I can tell you for a FACT, if you sent NVC the marriage cert from the civil status dept, you sent the wrong thing

You mean the marraige contract with the signature of the judge/shiekh/witnesses? Damn, I sent the one from the civil dept! But shouldn't they have just sent me in the checklist cover that I just need to submit the marriage contract rather than all four documents? And in the Checklist cover letter they request for me to just send the "marriage certificate", not contract. Here is what they wrote:

"______5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE:____________________________________

Please submit this applicant's original marriage certificate, or a certified copy, bearing the appropriate
seal or stamp of the issuing authority. If the certificate is a certified copy of the original it must come
from the issuing government authority and it must contain annotation by the issuing government
authority indicating that it is an extract from the official records."
Thanks for your help!

Anyone else have any other ideas?

Since you been there awhile have you looked at your payment portal lately. I bet the DS-261 and DS-260 is there since you have not got case Complete. You will need to complete those also.

Just checked the portal and the AOS and IV are shown to be paid.. All payments are paid, and to my knowledge all documents are submitted.

I know it is the contract from the court they want, it's a fact. I got the same RFE from NVC and as soon as I sent the contract itself it was smooth sailing. Trust me, it even says it right on the US embassy Amman site that is what they want. I like you sent the certificate from civil status first, and that is when I got the RFE and sent the contract. I would bet my last dollar this is what they want!!!! Send it and you will be pleasantly surprised

Haha ok ok you have me convinced, thanks! I scanned the 3aqd al-zawaj the other day and just had my dad translate the contract. He should be sending me the attached documents later today. As soon as I receive it from him, i'll send it off to NVC.. Now, do I just ignore the other RFE's? Are they just a bunch of false checklists other than the marriage contract?

And is there any way I can avoid the stupid 20 day wait? It's really holding me back every time I wait for a reply from them.. Shukran for your help! It helps that you had experience from Jordan!

I never got any false checklists, hopefully once you send in the correct documents the checklists for that will cease and desist. I was always told by the NVC that everything was a 20 days wait, but never actually had to wait that long, but when we applied things weren't quite so busy. You are most welcome, if you have any more questions feel free to inbox me. Good luck, if you can just get past this RFE thing you are almost there, YAY!

Hmmm, maybe the contract is whats throwing off the red-flag for the complete IV packet and thats why I'm getting the complete RFE rather than just the Marriage contract. I sent off the contract with the translation a couple hours ago. We'll see what happens from now, iA smooth sailing from here. I sure will if I need any more help down the road!

I sure hope we're almost there, I just want my wife home already ClockWatch2.gif .. Thanks!!
