When you do schedule, do you mind letting us know when your interview date is? I'm still waiting on NOA2 so I know I have a long wait. I'm just curious about how far out they are scheduling. Last I checked I think it was around December 18th?

Good luck! I hope some open up for you soon!

Just a quick question, how long did it take for them to "recieve" your packet 3 and send out packet 4? We sent ours and it arrived last week but yet when we call the DOS, they say nothing has been updated still.

Also, is there any other more direct way of getting in contact with the MTL consulate than calling department of state, dos?

YAY! Haha... It was frustrating because on the 24/25th of September there were a few dates up and floating around (for early Dec) and I couldn't book. I get my Packet 4 on the 26th and low and behold... NOTHING since then. Ah, well... at least we are not alone!

Sure! On the 24/25th they were schedule anywhere from Dec 3 - Dec 18th. I'll shoot you a MSG for when I win the lotter... err, score an interview!

You can check my signature for a pretty detailed outline of my post-NOA2 timeline. It took 7 business days from when Xpresspost confirmed delivery until Packet 4 (e-mail).

Ok, so its the 1st... and still no available appointments.

Is this the work of the Gov't Shutdown? Pretty sure I read that Consular/Visa Services would still be up and operating 'per usual'

It is not because of the shutdown.

Just breathe and be patient, some will open up :)

You took the words right out of my mouth. We submitted our I-129 Dec 4th...so we'll be beyond a year if the December dates hold up :/ Trying to hold on to that positive attitude I had when this all started :)

In the past on VJ there have been lots of K-1s waiting for appointment times to open up for Montréal. They would post on here as soon as appointments opened up so the other VJers could book appointments as well. I believe they PM’d each other their contact info as well for texting purposes - whatever you guys feel comfortable with.

Good luck in getting your appointments!

Yea - I've come across those threads... I was starting this one to kind of mimic that. Hoping that if we had a large enough pool of people waiting/watching we could all get a heads up.

I mean... I still check the website at least once an hour... so as soon as I have my interview, I will definitely let people know via this thread.

Montreal is making me OCD...

I never received my packet 4 but after constantly calling and getting no where I emailed them. About 3 weeks later I received an email from them that said they sent packet 4 AUGUST 5!! ranting33va.gif

Ok ok don't freak... so since then Sept 26th I have been compulsively checking every few mins on my smart phone and computer but only seeing this damn message that there are no appointments available at this time...

Meanwhile one of my other American friends married his phillipine g/f and didn't do any of this stuff ... ranting33va.gif trying to be happy for them but ... it seems like trying to go about this the right way is only dragging it out for a year...when I could have been with my fiancée this whole time...

On a related note do I need a hard copy of packet 4? does anyone know? All I have is this email saying that they sent it back in august....

I'm still checking compulsively as well :/ getting a notification that someone replied to this thred had my hopes up that someone finally got an appointment. Fingers crossed appointments come in soon for all of us to breathe easier. As far as I know you do need the letter from packet 4 to bring with you to the consulate. I received packet 4 by email...maybe you should try to request it be sent to you that way so you can print it off? I never did receive packet 3 that had been sent to me snail mail, so I was happy to see packet 4 in my inbox.
