Your file has probably shipped out from CSC by now. You might be able to call CSC and confirm shipment.

In our case NVC confirmed receiving and could give us case number 8 days after CSC shipped it.

Yours would most likely come next week good.gif

My signature for your reference.

Thanks for sharing that - I suddenly feel a lot less pessimistic - very best of luck!

We waited 30 days getting the "8 week" answer from NVC.

So I asked my Congesswoman to please have an aide call TSC and confirm that the file had been sent.

The aide called TSC around 2pm. Around 5pm we got the email saying that it had been sent (previously we had not gotten the email--it is the email, it seems, not the USPS hard copy notice that really means the file had been sent to NVC)

Several days later we had our MNL#.

Clearly in this case the file had not been sent to TSC and in such cases TSC will simply repeat over and over "8 weeks."

Try doing what we did and ask your Congressperson to have an aide call CSC and simply confirm that the file HAS been sent.

I called CSC on last wednesday and they were not very helpful. I just spoke to the agent who answered the phone. Who do you suggest talking to to find out when was shipped. The one I spoke to said basically they cant do anything for 90 days when all I wanted to know was whether or not it shipped. NAO2 8/22

My NOA2 was on August 16th at CSC. I called NVC Friday and they said they had received it September 16th but was not in their system yet. I called the DOS and they gave me the new file number. So I think that everyone that was approved around August 16th at CSC is now sitting at NVC and are currently being processed.

CSC and TSC are taking their sweet time in shipping approved cases to the NVC.

If you have not gotten a notification that your case has been sent to NVC, then your case is likely still at the CSC. You can call the USCIS customer service line to check this, if you doubt the online case status form.

NVC is stating that it takes up to 8 weeks for USCIS to ship approved/reaffirmed cases to them. This means that your case is likely just waiting in the backlogged queue. The trend seems to be about 6 weeks currently.

I was approved 7/26 and my case wasn't shipped until 9/4.

If your unsure of where your case is at... call the USCIS customer service line, once you give the Tier 1 Rep (the first person you talk to) your case information so they can bring up your file, ask to be transferred to a Tier 2 Rep. They'll offer you a call back service in 3-5 business days or the choice to wait. Choose to wait; the wait is typically around 2 hours. If you're calling from a US number you can opt into the automated call back service which will call you back once your up in the queue. You won't lose your place in line, but it helps so you don't have to wait holding a phone to your head for 2 hours. smile.png

Good luck!

Don't worry, keep calling them you will have your case number soon , or better still wait for the 8 weeks. As for us from Atlanta local office, the bunch of approved petition was mistakenly sent to NRC instead of NVC and it took we people who have our petition there 3 whole month to get it back with the help of senators, congressman and USCIS themselves... so don't worry, you will soon receive it. i was afraid also then thinking maybe the file got lost but it didn't and we finaly got our case number and things are going well at the moment. So keep calling

Hi, I think you need to speak to Tier 2 to get any information.

Like d3adc0d3 descrived perfectly.

Also, if you are calling the DoS-NVC side, definitely go for DoS. They are very nice and waiting time is short.

Good luck! You are almost there.

For some reason it is CSC that is the worst, I do not know why it is taking so long to send the application to the NVC. A friend of mine got his NOA2 on September 22th. He called yesterday and got his MCN from the NVC. His application was at VSC, this isn't the first case of this happening either I have seen this kind of thing posted on on many other forums I frequent about the lag at CSC. I called last night also and asked as to why VSC is getting there apps pushed as it seems ahead of CSC. All the person on the other end could do was stammer and stutter trying to make some sort of grouping of words that made sense, which they obviously did not.

It is very disheartening seeing others after you getting through faster. Do not get me wrong I am happy for anyone getting there approvals, it would be nice in a much more organized manner. I know of people that are still waiting and having been for like 6-8 months with no RFE's just taking a long time getting their NOA2's and I know 1 person that it has been 57 days since his NOA2, the NVC is now having to investigate as to where his packet is. I cannot wait for this part of the process to be over.

24 July approval - they finally admitted the file was missing on September 16 (54 days) and shipped out file. Now they suggest another 8 weeks for processing.

Don't despair yet. That is my job sad.png

Sorry to hear about your case getting lost. If it makes you feel any better, we have waited for 1 year for our file to be reviewed at CSC, got an RFE, it took 2 months to process and then got the noa2 sept 17th! Finally! Now, almost 20 days later, still no MNL# from NVC. So yup, despair and frustration can describe me right now sad.png just feel lucky you havent waited this long smile.png
