I'm furious right now, I just called NVC after practically waiting 20 business days after submitting my DS-230. Two agents confirmed that any DS-230 application submitted would have to re-submit the "new" DS-260 Electronic Form. I Send my DS-230 Express mail on the 13th of August, they told me that the new change took effect last week. I was told then that I would have to wait another 20 DAYS, NO WAY!!!!

EVERYONE WHO IS ON THE IV PART, CALL TO VERIFY YOUR CASE, I WILL BE GETTING A CHECKLIST TOMORROW, AGENT CONFIRMED.

I really can't believe my luck, anyone with this issue, don't submit DS-230 until you read about the DS-260 Change.

Even though I did the DS-260 just now, I feel good knowing that my original documents will be kept on my case for further processing of my DS-260.

Any Comments or Complaints?

I think anything you sent before September 3rd is good unless you get a checklist to do the form over then you will have to do the new electronic form. The wait is no longer 20 days it is now 30 business days not including weekend.

I called today, they advised me to fill the DS-260 which I did, like I mentioned I sent my DS-230 mid August Priority Express. What I don't understand is why are those documents listed "in review" on my case since August 19th been processed before the change? They told me to expect a checklist tomorrow (e-mail) requesting the DS-260. Still highly disappointed with the outcomes, hope nobody has to go through the process again.

I was lucky I was invoiced on Sep 3 the first day, but of coarse I had allready filled out all the paper forms months before to be ready silly me.

This is crazy that they seem to be hitting everyone with a case open at NVC, I did see where one person's paperwork was accepted but they had and interview date allready. (i would call anyway)

I'm on the IR path for my wife. My case was 8.5 months at USCIS I was hoping to have her here by Christmas (please pray with me) it has been a year since we where together. We where living in another country and got married then 1 year bam lost my job so had to come back by myself.cray5ol.gif

Called today and found out my AOS package will take 30 days to review and 15 days before I'm invoiced for the IV fee ranting33va.gifprotest6wz.gif

I pray and hope your's is accepted fast please do the same for me I'm about to lose it!!! I don't know how she is doing it I think she just keeps busy and doesn't think to much about it.heart.gif

Thanks a lot, will pray for you and everyone in this situation. NVC agents just don't understand what we petitioners have to go through. One day without our loved ones is just that, one day lost in space.

PS: I think you get invoiced a few days after you submit the DS-3032 or now the DS-261. I might be wrong.

You are invoiced for the IV package about 1-3 weeks after the DS-261, just like always.

The NVC likely understands quite well what people are going through. The call center employees talk to petitioners and beneficiaries all day from 7am to midnight. That doesn't mean the call center staff can hurry up the process for anyone. :(

I also can confirm that DS 260 has now replaced it. our attorney sent ours in on 14th August, rang them Friday last week and had to send in the new DS260 !!!

Because they had not started to look at my case yet !!!!!!!

i was told it has gone from 20 days to 30 days.

You all really need to get onto NVC and check ASAP. longer you wait the longer it will be for your case complete. I am still waiting . my original 20 days was up tomorrow and have heard not a thing yet. !!!

Good Luck everyone.

May God bless us with case complete asap.

All mine has ever said since being at NVC is - AT NVC.

I am so fed up of this process now. it is taking forever at NVC. They received my file on 31st July from USCIS.. !!!!!!!!!!!

I would most defiantely be on the phone to them if i was you .
