Interesting read, after doing an info pass their card was in production, perhaps that is what you should all do to get attention for your case. Makes me wonder if Plato has since received his card he had an info pass on Feb 12th?

Thanks for the find. As for me, I now believe that USCIS is all over the page now. Yesterday I saw that they approved a January 2014 filler, now late March. Reminds me of a lottery play :)

Sadly enough, I check the Immigration Timelines a million times a day for any good news. I am now considering making an Infopass appt for my wife.

I'm guessing they send NPIW cases to offices in batches. If one office is faster than the other it might explain why the dates approved are not in chronological order.

Thanks for the find. As for me, I now believe that USCIS is all over the page now. Yesterday I saw that they approved a January 2014 filler, now late March. Reminds me of a lottery play :)

This is the thing though about the lottery which opens up a can of worms. My husband religiously plays the lottery on a Wednesday and Saturday and bless him he barely wins a cent, but its part of his routine I came here last May and as soon as I landed he asked me for numbers so he could buy me tickets also.

But and there is a big butt it's been a bone of contention between us. I said to him, that's all very fine and dandy but if I win, can I actually claim the prize as I am not yet a legal resident? Obviously if I won he would collect the prize money to be on the safe side, but it shouldn't have to be that way, it might not I don't know, but I wouldnt take that risk and that being said I shouldnt feel so insecure about my status or lack of status.

Thats what I was wondering the other day when Ntherman case had been transferred. i doubt they just transfer one case at a time .I am thinking they just grab a whole load of them and deal them out like a game of cards.

I was curious about something, so yesterday I looked this up. USCIS uses the filing date on your NOA1 (NOA1 which is acceptance, NOA2 is approval) as the RECEIVED date not Notice Date or date fingerprint fee accepted. I was curious so I thought others might be as well. So, just wanted to throw that info out here. Therefore OUR filing ( received date) date is April 1, 2014.

Also, I have noticed different inquiry letters that are worded many different ways. I wanted to share exactly what our letter said ( I have never received an email, only paper notices through the mail box) dated 01/19/15. The outside of the envelope is from Lee Summit and the stamped post mark has a MO zip code. But the Referral ID (Inquiry number) is from our local field office with the suffix of SFV.

The state of this service request is:

Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing.

seems that reference relates to San Fernado Valley which is working on June's applicants right now, so if that is the case and this where your case really is, then you should be hearing sooner rather than later, you would assume any way, but the USCIS seems to be a law unto itself and quite frankly I am quite amazed with no accurate filing system or such that cases don't get lost! I wonder if this is what letter Natonstan will get in the post, wouldn't surprise me.

I am tired of this wait already and Ive only been waiting nearly 3 months after receiving the dreaded letter another 3 months or so ahead. I can't imagine how you guys feel, probably frustrated, angry, sad and a multitude of other emotions.

I was looking at December filers before. One has an interview in March, the other's are getting excited about receiving their GC, that is until I rained on their parade and told them about the letter. I just wish all of you got your GC now it just doesn't seem fair or right and I hate to see you second guessing as no one will give you a positive answer regarding cases.

You are correct, the confusing nature of what's what is what. When I call USCIS Tier 1, we are constantly told our Receipt date was 3/25, the check was cashed on 3/28, the NOA is 4/3. Which which is which? I guess it depends on whose who you're talking to.

It was not until Wednesday when we finally knew our case was in the NYC office as of 2/4/15. All communication with USCIS Tier 2 before that informed us it was at NBC (to us seemingly in apparent perpetuity), even though all SR and General Inquiries had NYC as its suffix. You won't know until you ask...CALL THEM...again tell them you want to make an InfoPass appointment but you first want to know where it is to determine whether it's worth your time...That's how we finally found out on Wed. Your case may be in the Valley being processed by former "Valley Girls" or it may still be guarded by "hay seed-eatin' hicks" in cattle country. You won't know until you ask. As one of my mentors use to say (until I got sick of hearing it), "You can guess, or you can know..."

Oh and before any of you get upset by either my Valley Girl or Hayseed eating hicks comments, you need to know much of my formative years were in the mid west and the San Fernando Valley. I lived it, know it and have the t-shirts to prove it...
