Hi! I'm not sure if I'm on the correct thread.

My husband just called NVC and was informed that we're now case complete!

Is it possible that I'll have my interview in October too?

Is it possible that I'll have my interview in October too?

Congratulations. Maybe more like November. Unless some slots are still open for October. August they pretty much was scheduling for September and October. All you can do is just wait.

Updating list now. Will post later.

Hello, i have a question, how long does it usually take for the nvc to review the case? We sent our application and it arrives nvc on aug.16.. I called the following week and they said it was still on the mailroom. Then i called again the other day, they said they're still reviewing it, that i have to wait more time. Im getting concern because in my case my husband's mom is my sponsor because right now my husband is not working, but we met the 125% poverty line., do u think they're gonna give us any trouble at all?just worried, i hope there're not gonna give us any trouble. Its really a pain to be apart. I have a 3 year old daughter and im 7 months pregnant. Hubby just recently got back to usa. This visa has really been stressing us out.

Well reasding in the NVC Filers thread NVC is now saying 30 days to review a package. Honestly once you arrive and get case# at NVC its about a 2 month process before case Complete. And now with the online forms its new and slowed everything down.

The joint sponsor should not be issue long as they meet the guideline. You are married so no issue with that.

We've already have a case no. And paid all the fees. I sent them the immigrant visa application with all the civil documents. The last document that we sent them on Aug. 16 was the AOS package. Its almost 3 weeks now.

They sent me a letter before thats says "Section 203(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act requires the Secretary of State to terminate the registration of any alien who fails to apply for an immigrant visa within one year following notification of the availability of a visa number. THIS LETTER SHALL SERVE AS YOUR NOTIFICATION THAT A VISA NUMBER IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. FAILURE TO PURSUE YOUR VISA APPLICATION BY COMPLYING WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW WILL COMMENCE PROCEEDINGS TO TERMINATE YOUR IMMIGRANT VISA REGISTRATION ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF THIS LETTER."

I'm getting so nervous, my interview is on Tuesday!! Eee!! Even though I'm 99% sure everything will be ok and go according to plan, I still can't help that tiny 1% of sheer terror!

I do have a question though. On the CEAC website, I just checked it again and it has changed slightly, I'm wondering if anyone knows why?

This is what it says:

Immigrant Visa Case Number: LND0000000000 01 LND

Case Creation Date: 21-Jun-2013

Status Updated Date: 05-Sep-2013

But the status updated date has changed, it used to say August 12th? Any idea why it's been changed and if I have anything to be concerned about?

I am not certain about this but i dont think its anything to worry about at all. Since your interview is coming up in a few days, they might either moved your file to the front row for the interview or your file was assigned to a CO. Who knows? It could be anything, but i wont worry about it.

Status update is like a touch. Seeing you are getting ready for interview so does the CO. They have to check your casefile in and out and thats all that is.

They have to type notes and thats your status update.

dwheel this what happen to my interview. The consul reject my nbi clearance. they did not issue the visa until I get a new one. My nbi clearance was dated january 2013 and be expiring in january 2014 as per embassy I need a new nbi clearance before they approve my visa. The consul never ask me to have another interview. He get me sign on ds230 part 2. and finger prints this the box information I recieved on refusal worksheet. This office regrets to inform you that it is unable to issue visa to you because you have been found ineligible to recieved visa under the following section s of the immigration and nationality AcT. The information contained in the paragraphs marked with x pertain to your visa application. Pleade disregard the unmarked paragraphs. x section 221(g) which prohibits of a visa to anyone whose application does not comply with the provisions of the immigration and nationality act or regulations issued pursuant thereto. the following remarks apply to your case. Need updated NBI clearance. and the consul did not give me approval or denied remarks. but I need to send my nbi clearance and passport at the courrier Office once. I had the nbi me and my husband is very sad I will be flying to Philippines this coming thursday. so sad
