Am still hanging in there but i got a feed back from the senator and i dont know what to think of it. I want you guys to read carefully and tell me what u feel the outcome will be or what to expect as per my i485. i think the reason why my case has been delayed this far could be due to couple of red flags. ie Previous marriage for myself and my wife and the age gap is about 12yrs but this is the woman i decided to fall inlove with and spend the rest of my life with. anyway lets go to the senator letter

from senator

dear mrs blahblah,

after receiving your concerns, the USCIS provided thw enclosed response to my inquiry. I hope you find this information useful. thanks for the opportunity to assist in this matter. its a privilege to represent u in USA.

attached letter from uscis to senator

the officer working on this case believe that she will be able to close the case today 26th august 2013. the officer wil mail out the decision after the supervisor has had chance to review her work. Please let the applicant know that she will receive the decision within 30days.

my questions are as follows

does this sounds like a sign of approval?

am not sure about the 30days or should i seriously expect a reply within 30days as stipulated?

i think contacting the congressman is a good idea and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but since its a free service i will encourage people to go ahead and try their luck. i attended an info-pass that was more or else a waste of time so i took this route instead. my interview was on July12 2013 in Houston

'close the case' is as ambiguous as it gets.

Sorry.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Can you explain where you are now and whether you are married? Your other post indicated you are not married and not in the USA: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/451226-urgent-help/

Nigerian always run a tougher gauntlet when it comes to immigration. You have many red flags and to come on a visitors visa to marry and adjust means you added the red flag of immigrant intent . I think it can go either way, they were a bit masked about their decision , which may imply a negative result or it could be an approval. I wish they would unify the immigration rules, eliminate the back door process for every one, and institute more accurate testing rather than leave the result up to the opinion of some clerk with unknown hidden agendas

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
