Hi fellow vjers! We have a concern about question 11 of the form. How should my fiance fill up that part? If he intends to make contributions for me. How should he state it if thru money? Can anyone give us an example. Thanks alot!

Is it really safe to answer like the example provided? Just want to make sure.

I check on intend n mentioned I will support all financially to my fiance n it worked, but many people got their approval by following the sample form of VJs here as well.

Thanks Mufmer! Cause im confuse which to follow. But i guess its safe to say both works.

Yes. The I-134 was not created to use only for K-1 visas. Its purpose was really for those that would be temporarily in the US, like other non-immigrant visas, and not for those that would be staying, adjusting status and becoming permanent residents. The K-1 is special that way. The I-864 that is required when filing for AOS will become the legally binding affidavit of support. The I-134 is temporary and not legally binding.

Question 11 makes more sense for those being sponsored on a temporary basis. That is why N/A - "K-1 visa process for permanent residence" makes sense in the case of a K-1 applicant. If it makes you feel better, check 'Intend' and then put "K-1 visa process for permanent residence" on the line.

What answer would the CO SPONSOR put?

Intend, not intend....or N/A?

In my case it would be my mom (possibly my brother)

The co-sponsor can put exactly what you choose to put. Intend plus 'K-1 visa process for permanent residence' can work for you both Or like the example form for you both.
