hello to all,happy eid for all of u , I have important issue to ask about,

I met my wife in states and married in Egypt , my interview is in 8 days , my wife is converted muslim ,American , divorced twice and I am separated from my wife here in Egypt , my American wife knows all about it , but the question is , she asked me not to mention any thing about my Egyptian wife , saying it doesn't matter to the states that u married in ur country , I will divorce the Egyptian in court after the interview as we have bending case in court , my American wife lives with me here in Egypt , so now im confused , to mention that im married in Egypt or they really don care ??? all papers say im single before marriage to my American beloved wife , I want to say to councle if asked and explain ,will this affect the case to deny it? my wife really hate life in Egypt and want to go back to states ,what should I do? need ur advice.

WOW!!! I simply cannot fathom this! My mind cannot wrap around the concept of a fellow American woman saying "oh its cool you have another wife, lets keep it a secret from immigration honey". Seems to me you will not get your visa and will receive a ban. A HUGE red flag this is, not to mention a huge mess, YIKERS!

Under US immigration law, you can only sponsor your first spouse in a polygamous marriage. That would be the wife that you are in the process of divorcing in Egypt right now.

Your second (I presume) wife therefore cannot be sponsored by you until the divorce from your first wife is final. When the US embassy learns that you are still married to your first wife, your second wife's immigrant visa application will be denied.

You may have already committed material misrepresentation by submitting papers which stated you were single prior to your latest marriage when in actual fact you were not. If you attempt to lie to the US embassy about it then this would constitute material misrepresentation and fraud, and would lead to your second wife receiving a lifetime bar from the US.

Your marriage to your American wife is null and void because you are still legally married to wife #1.

Both you and your wife lied on the forms you filled out and that is fraud and misrepresentation.

The consequence of lying and misrepresenting carries a life long ban from entering the USA.

American law recognizes a legal marriage in a foreign country and yes, they care very much if you are free to marry or not.

Either wife #2 will learn to like your country and stay there with you or you can divorce her too.

It would not lead a ban for the USC (American wife). It would be a ban for him, the beneficiary.

Got the wife and husband mixed up. Yes, the husband would receive the ban since he is the alien, and it is his immigrant visa application that would be denied.

Wow.

I guess I would say you should consider cancelling the petition right now before the interview and reapply later - start over after you divorce wife one... and remarry wife 2.

Even then, no guarantees with your other red flags and one cancelled petition.

I agree your wife may just need to get used to life in Egypt. A price to pay for an American woman being fine with marrying an already married man. These types of things can and do happen!
