Bumping this thread up. Any more interview experiences to share?

Waiting for our case to complete. We answered to 3 checklists now hoping they will be done with my IV Package this week... else we might get the I/L just in february. And this means that the interview will be in April (not in March)...

To make story short, we did following things:

(1) changed co-sponsor

=> they told us over phone that it seems that everything is ok but will need to bring some paper (which one?). Likely employment letter of co-sponsor which we did not add

(2) sent original birth certificate (end of December 2013)

=> we thought that certified translation would suffice but it didn't. Now crossing fingers that it will be ok (it's USSR time birth certificate).

All in all, we expect to get our case complete this month...

Hello vjs, I wanted to share that I got my visa approved today. I will collect my passport in couple of days. It went smooth. All they asked was when I got married, my husband name and where he lives. The CO was nice and friendly. As a proof of relationship I only took about 30 pictures.

I wanted to thank you all the for sharing your experience and helping out. Wish you all the best in ur journey and god bless you all:)

Base on my research here in Visajourney and experience of some people I meet who was interviewed before. K1 visa Category has more questions possibilities than F2A category. But this is not accurate for all instances. It may still depend on the CO and the documents you submitted or the relationship between you and the petitioner.

F2A possible questions:

Whats your husband name

How long have you been married

When did you get married

Whats your husband's work

K1 possible questions:

When did you meet in person?

How long have you known each other?

When was the last time you met your fiance? Where?

When did your fiance propose?

What do you love about your fiance?

When are you going to travel to the U.S.?

Have you every been to the U.S.?

If so, on what kind of visa did you travel to the U.S.? How long did you stay? When did you return?

What is your birthday?

What is your fiance's birthday?

Where was your fiance born?

What does your fiance do for living?

Where does your fiance work?

What is your fiance's designation at work?

Does your fiance have any brothers and sisters?

Where does your fiance live?

I hope this helps

hi there!

My husband had his interview this week, and we got it approved!

Questions asked in no particular order:

1. how did he meet his wife

2. what does she do

3. what do you do

4. does she work for your employer too

5. how long have you been married

Although he took a package full of documents and a huge photo album, only thing they requested to see is evidence of my PR.

Now we are waiting for our passports. Our officer was super friendly, and the whole office is extremely nice. It was a lovely experience afterall.

Good luck everyone, don't lose hope. Your approval will come at the perfect timing, believe in God.

Regards
