Hello I have a question regarding the medical examination . My fiance lives in Cordoba Argentina so a 10 hour bus trip to Buenos AIres.

We thought he could do the medical exam like 2 or 3 days priior to the interview as we called the doctors office and they said he would have the envelope with the reults for pick up the same day ot next day the latest.

But what I realized today is that the medical exam envelope has to be sent to the embassy with all the documents in the mail in order for them to evaluate and send us the interview date.

My question is really!!!! someone has to travel twice to the Capital city is this correct !!! ?????

Does anyone know the answer to this

And does the affidavit of support for K 1 or I129F has to be notorized???

*** moved to South America forum so that the OP can get some more answers for this as it's a regional question - from K1 process and procedures ***

The AOS for the K1 (I-134) does not need to be notarized. It is not a legally binding agreement. That comes later after the wedding in the USA with the AOS (adjustment of status) and the I-864. (Just to note, it doesn't need to be notarized either but it is a legally binding agreement between the sponsor and government.)

Nothing throughout this process needs to be notarized unless your consulate specifically asks for it.

You don't mail the embassy the envelope with medical exam results. You make a copy of the envelope, of the side where the doctor signs the envelope, and include of that copy when you send Packet 3 back to the embassy to schedule your interview.

The actual envelope with medical results will have to be taken to the embassy, the day of the interview.
