Congrats @lonelylonley!!

Still waiting for something to come in the mail for me. Guess I still have some waiting to do.

POE on Jan 25.

ELIS status is 'Accepted'.

USCIS says receipt number cannot be found.

Have not received SSN yet.

I was thinking about going to the SSA office for my SSN some time next week. Is it too soon?

Hey vegasbound. Mine is exactly same as yours right now.

My POE was LAX on Jan 27th and i am still at exact same stage as you !!.

Been as i have been here 3 weeks Monday coming we are going back to the SS Office then to ask for a SSN.

Did you go and get a SSN ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi apple!!

I arrived in the United States on December 17th as well, but case hasn't moved on, it still says ACCEPTED on the USCIS ELIS webpage... I called USCIS on Friday and they told me to keep on waiting until 3 months have passed... what should I do??

it has not yet been a month since you arrived in the USA. If you do not have your SSN go to the SSA office and apply for one. Then keep waiting.

So a general question for everyone...are you calculating the 30 - 45 days as working days (monday - friday), or as total days? And how is it that USCIS is calculating?

I ask because my wife had her poe on 12/16/13, and we paid the visa fee on 12/21/13. We are already past the 30 working day mark, but upon calling they said you still need to wait at least 60 days (something that I have not heard anywhere).

Thanks

Hi all, POE for my wife and son was on 31st JAN 2014. Since we planed to move to a new address my wife gave the immigration officer at POE our lawyer's address for SS and GC. Our son received his SS on Feb 9th at the lawyers. We are awaiting their GCs and wife's SS.

Thanks.

Hi. Please update your signature. :)

When did you pay the $165? Have you checked the ELIS and USCIS case status?

Optimized means "in process" and the case status will show "initial review" (when you check using the IOE receipt ID).

They didn't send me one either, I had to go to the SS Office last Monday to apply for one.

Thanks for your response, I think I'll have to keep on waiting, although 2 months have already passed since I arrived. It seems like Texas Service Center (my port of entry was Houston) has some issues with its data base, that's why we are experiencing this delay...

Does anyone know a direct phone number to reach Texas Service Center? I emailed them 2 weeks ago and still have not heard anything. I tried to call USCIS National Customer Service today *3rd time, and the line was so busy that it put me on hold for 2 hours and I had to give up. Most likely because of the snow storm, they had to close one or more call centers. Anyway, I don't think at this point contacting the National Customer Service Center would be any more helpful. I'd rather speak to a local person at Texas Service Center just to double check whether my paperwork has made it way there and why there is such a delay.
