Actually, I'm on the same boat.

Our NOA2 says PD May 21, 2011 when the correct PD is May 21, 2012.

NOA2 hardcopy arrived June 18. On June 19 my husband (petitioner) called USCIS. He spoke with a CSR and was adviced to wait until July 4 for a response.

Everyday we call NVC to check if they already have our case file, as of today June 25th they still haven't received it.

Don't worry. Just inform USCIS right away.

I spoke with an NVC CSR and she told me errors like this do occur. She said they refer to the priority date stamped on the i-130 form itself and not on the NOA2.

So she's confident it won't affect our case although she did advice that we inform USCIS right away.

She should call USCIS.

At the bottom of your NOA2, under the address of the Service Center, there's a phone number that she can call.

Shalone:

Whether it's USCIS, DOS, NVC, or even the embassy, it's always better to communicate with them directly and let the petitioner do most of the (if not all) communication. At times these agencies could be difficult to handle, hard to talk to someone, but persistence and tenacity would be the key. Also try to keep a proof of the communication like the email “apple21” got from USCIS. Worrying about things, getting frustrated will not help anyone in any shape of form. Learned this hard (not that hard though) way :-) Good luck

Just an update. After making 2 more follow-ups via phone, my husband finally received the AMENDED i-797 (NOA2) yesterday, August 26, 2013. dancin5hr.gif
