Hello! Can anyone help me out bout the confusion that I am encountering right now, I am applying for AOS, the filing fee is $1070, we did the check payment and we got their receipt, after few days, I got a mail saying that "The check amount is incorrect, or has not been provided. Please review the Form Instructions for fee information. Please resubmit the application/petition package with appropriate fees to the address listed on the bottom of this page"... AOS Fee includes the fee for I-765, does anybody here encountered the same problem?

Pls help me.. I am so confused! We followed the "$985. (Add $85 biometric fee for a total of $1070, where applicable. See the form instructions for payment details.) You must make your check payable to Department of Homeland Security" so I was thinking whats wrong with my check...

Welcome to the forum.

Did you review the VJ Guide for K-1 AOS step-by-step guide?

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

How much money did you submit with your I-485? What forms/applications did you include with your AOS applications? What exactly did your RFE notice say?

Please provide more specific information.

tnx for your response Sir, I appreciate it .. actually I figure it out just now, but wont you mind if I got another question?

It says here on the Green paper that:

"Dear Applicant, We are sorry to inform you that we have rejected your application for the reasons indicated on the I-797 Reject Notice. You are invited to resubmit your application package after you have corrected the reasons for rejection. If you have any questions please contact lockbox@dhs.gov; When you resubmit your application, please enclose this letter with you re-submission. Place this letter on top of your application package. This will flag your application to receive special attention when it is re-processed.

*my question is DO I need to send all the supporting documents for I-765 AED such as I-765 form, Copy of I-94 (front and back), Two passport-type photo's AGAIN? or just send my Receipt from AOS payment?!

thanks for your time!

You need to thoroughly and completely comply with the directions provided with the RFE notice. Supply the information/documentation requested on the RFE notice.

The $1070 is correct for (one person) your wife, is there a child also? Did you send one check in the amount of $1070?

There is no additional fee for EAD or AP if filed at the same time as AOS.

You say you got a receipt for payment from USCIS? Is there a way for you to verify if the check was cashed?

Strange that they say to resubmit everything with the "appropriate fees" yet they did not return the check.

I would be on the phone for that one if your check has actually been cashed.

Thank's for your response .. Yes I called them and the one that makes us confused was we already knew that the check was incash ..And when I finally figured it all out - all they want for me is to send them back the Receipt letter (proving that I have a an AOS pending case) that I received from them over the mail .. It's just quite odd coz since I filed it all together, its obviously mean that it waived the fee for I-765.. So now, need to mail again .. I was just panicking because bcoz I know that we pay the right amount which was already incash, they should have noted every application forms when its all filed together ..

Thanks fir your time Sir! I appreciate it ..

Did you try to pay for the I-765? Did you put down code C9 or code A6 on the I-765?

This was an important question. You need to have code (c )(9 ) on the I-765 because if you put code (a )(6 ) then they will want you to pay.
