I called NVC !! and got a bad news

My fiancee called the NVC this morning and hold up the call for 15 minutes, the NVC officer ( Lady ) was answer and ask for our WAC#******, We recently approved on 10 June. and she said NVC still dint get our case yet and any cases approved during June should call after 4th July ! or take longer than 15 - 20 business day ! That's a month !!

I am wondering if they use the turtle for shipment or what they are doing ?

My husband was told by USCIS that this is common because of the way the cases are handled at the end by USCIS. They told him the last thing USCIS does is to assign a bar code to the case which is then bundled with other cases to be sent to NVC.

When these cases arrive at NVC mail room they aren't immediately scanned into the system which is what causes these delays. Its possible they do this to affect the work load but I am not sure about that.

Hang on. Some cases took a little longer from the service center to NVC. Ours took 1 month and 7 days. We were approved last April 22 and got our case number by May 29. Just keep sending them emails and calling them. God bless.

It sounds like just more red tape, waiting for the sake of its government, they take their time.

I know it's easier said than done but patience. You're in the home stretch now at least.

my wife was thinking the same when my file did not get to nvc

very few cases get lost.. like VERY few

you can call nvc every day if you want

Anything could be lost of course but this almost never happens. These cases are sent by the safest means possible I am sure. They just aren't sent using the same methods we use to send a common letter.

We see many times here on V J this same subject. In my own case it seemed the file was " lost ". At that time even USCIS told my husband when he sat down with them face to face, that they couldn't locate our case. But it was never lost as we thought and I doubt yours is either.

We are having the same problem. Our petition was approved May 13 (NOA2), and the NVC still has no record of receiving our file. I am on the phone with them every day, and have sent an email with a copy of the NOA2 to the research email address. Still nothing yet.

If they bar code and inventory the items at the service center before sending them to NVC, then how come they can

t tell me where the file is. It fees right now like it's lost in limbo - not at CSC, but also not received yet at NVC. It's very frustrating to be so close to finishing this process, and then to be at the mercy of an inefficient case transfer system.

I got my approval on June 12, 2013, 2 days after yours. I am not going to call them as I believe its too early to do so! I searched through VJ about the processing time between approval and NVC, it says 1 months or so. But Thank you for your update, it was my guess that our answer will be in the mid of july.

You're right. We were fortunate to have a relatively fast NOA2 approval, but now it seems we are on the losing end with an unusually long time for receipt by NVC. I thought it would be smooth sailing once we received NOA2, and my fiancee and I would b together soon. But I guess this whole process is fraught with pitfalls all along the way. How absolutely frustrating. 408 days. I don't know how you did it!!!

dont worry i been waiting 66 days and they have not received my case
