I just had a meeting today with some adjudicators then here is some news.

-Vawa Unit now hired 55 additional immigration officers to work with vawa cases, then the cases are going fast because of that.

-If you vawa approved more than 45 days and they did not transfer your file to NBC yet then email hotlinefollowupi360.vsc@dhs.gov, mention your name, address, date of birth, case number, when your vawa was approved , and inquire about when your case will be transferred to NBC, and the subject should be "Outside Normal Processing Time”. If you filed Vawa over 12months ago you can use this email to inquire as well about the delay in adjudicating your case.

-DO NOT use more black pen to sign your forms or letter, use BLUE using blue they can distinguish am original document from a copy ok

-Changing address in your AOS application use this AR 11 link, not the old one

https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do write down your previous address and your current address.

-If after 45 days that your case was transferred to NBC you didn't receive notice to attend an interview, set up infopass to inquire about it.

-When answering an RFE, the ORIGINAL blue sheet must be on top of the RFE answer.

-Filing I-360 put in the cover letter a chart specifying the documents you are submitting and number of the page

-To change your address with VAWA UNIT submit a NOTARIZED letter with name, date of birth, current address, phone number, case number , because sometimes they do not update, email them as well. Using a copy of the notarized letter, write down a subject "Change of Address” and email to hotlinefollowupi360.vsc@dhs.gov, but please submit by mail and email ok.(just regarding I-360)

Ok- this was great news sandranj thank you.my case is 16mnths now so I will definitely send an email to that email address today and I hope hiring 55 officers will really make us see- a positive difference in the speed at which uscis handle these cases cos it so poor. Its like adding salts to an already hurting injury having to go through several months waiting to get back on your feet after a bad abuse suffered. Will we get a response after sending an email to this address? Cos I did e-request 3weeks ago and not even an acknowledgement email was sent SMH

Hi anajnic congrats on ur interview schedule. But how come you can't afford medicals? Did you get your EAD? Didn't you get a job with the ead? I think its only wise that once you get ead and start working you just save towards medicals and continuation oF the i485 cos it should be the most important thing until you get a green card. So I just can't figure out why you can't afford it. If you have worked for even a month.. I'm just saying. But goodluck

Thank you.Did have job and Ead.Things happen bills to pay, homelessness to avoid and as a result to take care of your immediate need.Things are slow, and I'm out of work right now for the last month but I should be interviewing with Home Depot soon so it will work out.Plus I paid for school out of pocket for Patient care technician, Phelebotomy and Ekg.. 3k plus dollars.Like I said i am not really worried my friend who is also on Vawa whose timeline is as mine will help me if the costs is reasonable. God will make a way since I am doing the best I can considering. He made a way before and he will and is about to do it again.

Thank you so much Sandranj

Apple 2013 your lawyer is wrong, you don't have to wait 15months. You have to inquire then make some noise, email all these people here.

1- https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Case.do- file an e-request today

2- Set up appointment with infopass to inquire about your file.

http://infopass.uscis.gov/

3-Email USCIS ombudsman to inquire about your case.mention when I-360 was approved, and mention when you filed I-485.

https://cisomb.dhs.gov/oca/form7001.aspx

4-Contact your congress person

http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

VAWA unit must transfer the case in 45 days to NBC , NBC should transfer to the local office in 30/45 days as well.
