Our K-1 was approved at uscis vermont on 5/31/13 (info of approval found at department of state site). We did not receive a text or a email or a NOA2 letter and the uscis website shows our case still in "request for evidence and review" stage. Yesterday I received a letter dated 6/5/13 from NVC stating they recently received our approved I-129F petition. Within a week the petition will be fowarded to the appropriate visa issuing post and the embassy will contact your fiance when ready to begin processing their application. There is also a case # given.

Should we call and ask for a copy of the NOA2?

Anyone else had similar happen to them?

Very happy and relieved to be finally approved. yeah oh yeah!!!

call into USCIS, and when yer talking to the CSR,

ask for casefile status.

When the CSR stops talking,

ask for an ISO, telling the CSR that you think you have a problem with 'returned mail pieces'

Then when you get the ISO, ask if there are any returned mail pieces on you.

If there are, then go over the right address and ask the ISO to send out the returned mail pieces to you.

Report back when yer finished, aye?

I called uscis this morning they still have no record of approval or of a NOA2 being sent. They are going to investigate and respond with two week. I then called NCV and they told me that the application was forwarded to the manila embassy last week. So i guess uscis is a bit lost and the application is on its way to embassy.

wow. call again, talk with an ISO.

could be a typo in the casefile # somewhere, somehow, and you need to ask the ISO exactly where the casefile is.

They can tell you - an ISO has 'higher rights' in the computer than the first person that answers the phone.

For a final check, call DoS Hotline also, and inquire for casefile status using the MNL casefile number.
