Quick Question: RFE Letter of Intent

I just received notice to day that they are requesting further evidence. I'm not overly surprised because my fiancee forgot to mail over the letter of intent, so she scanned it and I printed it and sent it in. I hoped they wouldn't worry over it too much, but just in case, I had her bring it over here on her last trip so I'd have the original. My question is, with an RFE, will the original which they have a copy of be sufficient to fulfill the RFE or will they wan to see an updated one with a current date?

I am sure she could send over an updated one, but if it's not necessary then I'd rather save the expense.

Does anyone have experience with this situation where they've sent in the original and got approved or did anyone try this and get another request for an updated version?

Did you get the letter from the USCIS and it says you've gotten the RFE because of the letter of intend? I am asking because that should not be an issue since many of the beneficiaries of the visa K1 are not in The States and usually send a scanned letter of intend to USCIS.

I haven't received the letter, just the notification, but it was/is the only thing that I know I screwed up in the filing. I know they want original signatures, so I'm guessing that's what it is. When we filed, we filed out the g-325a with original signatures, sent in the proper size passport photos. Used boarding passes and photos as evidence of having met, so not sure what else it could possibly be.

Then I think you should just wait to get the letter and then you will know for sure what they're asking for.

I have read many cases of people who have sent scanned copies and had no problem, and I've seen some where people have said that they got an RFE. I knew it was a risk when I sent it, but at the time it felt like the odds were 50/50 of it getting through without delay and waiting for it to show up before filing was going to be a guaranteed delay so I took the risk. Obviously it didn't pay off. Of course with USCIS it could be an RFE for anything since it's possible they could have lost some portion of my file, but I have copies of everything I sent to them, so anything they need I should be able to turn it around and get it back to them by the next day. My only concern while I wait is if I may need a new version of the Intent to Marry if that indeed is the problem as I suspected or if the original will suffice. Guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed a little bit longer.

Just a guess but is it not better to submit an original of the copy you've already given to CSC?

Because the date will be before the filing. Think they will prefer that.

CSC should be just asking for her original signature.

Updated letter of intent for the Embassy stage must be a different story.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking as well, just curious if anyone had either option happen to them so I could feel more comfortable while I wait for the hard copy to arrive
