Processing of I-130 petitions at Nebraska is approximately 60-90 days from the date we received the petition. If you do not receive a notice of action or decision within 90 days, please feel free to contact us....

Curious as to how long after uscis gets what they need in that RFE to approve it?

They say they'll review your evidence within 60 days, but it's usually faster than that. Another June filer with Philippines beneficiary received an RFE and was approved two weeks later.

I-130 Approved! I guess today was finally my turn.

It feels bittersweet to post this after reading from fellow filers still waiting for news sad.png . If anything, I sincerely hope this gives more comfort that USCIS is moving along, at whatever slow pace, but moving. Now to wait for my case to ship out to NVC.

Hi, everyone!

We are approved this morning! Our PD 6/24/2013, on 11/12/2013 transferred to NSC. However, we did request for an expedite review two weeks ago and on 1/13/2014, we were mailed a letter saying that we are under expedited review. As a matter of fact, my mother in law just got the mail yesterday and today we received an email that we are approved!

Sorry, guys, I know this won't bring anything to your hope.

But we do have our reason to expedite it. We are expecting our second child and we are in China, which is against their one child policy and Chinese government won't actually acknowledge our choice of making our baby a US citizen if the baby is born in China. We are facing fines for having another child and have to go thru renouncing citizenship for the baby according to the law, even tho our baby will hold an American passport no matter what. It's pretty ridiculous. And we will not be able to take the baby out of China unless we get a police permit. Our first one was born in Japan while her mother was residing there, so according to the law, she can be acknowledged having an US citizenship. But not for our 2nd if he/she is born in China.

Sorry it's a lot. But you see, we are in a messed up situation. I am feeling every little bit of pain with everybody else here, having waited for this approval over 7 months. Wish all the best for all of you!

Thank you all for the useful info shared here! I Already updated the spreadsheet. And if there are tips on the NVC journey, we will surely share them here too!

Blessings!

Good Morning, i am a june filer PD 6/27/2013; I received a transfer notice to the Nebraska Center on 12/27/2013; my question is, is the approval process slower at this center, I have noticed that people that were transfered around the same time to the Texas Center have already received approvals.

Can someone please let me know, if you are still waiting like us?

Also what form or what are the requirements to submit an expedite ....

thanks

I just want to verify because your profile says you're going through adjustment of status. Is that correct, or are you awaiting approval of a stand-alone I-130 petition for an overseas beneficiary?

Assuming the latter is the case, both Nebraska and Texas are pretty slow, though Texas may be marginally better. We've been keeping track of where June filers have been transferred to and who has been approved on this spreadsheet. If you take a look you'll see the approvals for June filers so far have generally been either from California Service Center, or for special cases (expedites requested, auto-expedites for Philippines beneficiaries, etc.). Nebraska appears to be processing mostly April filers right now based on approval statistics here on VJ.

Visit this USCIS site to review the criteria for an expedite: http://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria. It's pretty strict, and with the current backlog, USCIS has stressed that they are rigorously enforcing these criteria.

Thanks BOS for your prompt response,

I am the petitioner for my husband - (I-130) - that is what we are waiting the approval for, I believe you answered my concern and by looking at the spreadsheet, it takes about 2 months to get a response from the Nebraska center - after the case has been transfered. thanks
