You do not need to wait for any documents to get your inteview set and get your medical done... its rock 'n' time!!

Go to the embassy website in the link below to schedule your interview online, once done make sure to print two copies of the confirmation page (one for St. Luke's and one for the embassy)

Here:

Manila Embassy:

NOW THAT YOU HAVE YOUR MNL # (don't need to wait for the letter from the embassy )

(NOTE: When getting NSO certified copies of your Birth Certificate get a few extra copies for bringing to the States with you. You will need them from time to time)

http://manila.usemba...v/wwwh3023.html

Once you have your MNL # :

You can pay your nonimmigrant visa application fee with cash or debit card at any Bank of Philippine Islands. Before going to the bank, you must print the applicable U.S. visa application deposit slip available below on this page. Take the printed deposit slip with you to pay your fee. If you print a deposit slip in advance of the day in which you plan to make your payment, please take note of the expiration date on the deposit slip. If the expiration date passes prior to using the slip to make your payment, simply return to this site and re-click the appropriate link below to generate a new deposit slip. Bank agents will NOT accept payments based on expired deposit slips. Upon receiving of your payment, bank will issue you a receipt. Save your receipt. It cannot be replaced if it is lost. You will not be able to schedule an appointment without your receipt number.

http://ustraveldocs....paymentinfo.asp

Select the deposit slip that matches your visa application fee from the list below. Values are shown in U.S. dollars and native currency. This page has more information about the different visa application fees.

http://ustraveldocs....visafeeinfo.asp

For K-1 the fee is $240

After you have paid the visa application fee, keep the BANK receipt for your records. It cannot be replaced if it is lost. You will not be able to schedule an appointment without your receipt number.

If you have an account with either Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI) or BancNet you may choose to pay your visa application fee online using their online bill pay services. Click on either of the links below if you are a BPI or BancNet customer and wish to make an online payment.

If you are paying for more than one applicant, please DO NOT make a lump sum payment for all the applicants. A UID/receipt number is required for each visa application fee payment for EACH applicant for scheduling an appointment. After you have paid the visa application fee, please keep the fee receipt for your records.

Receipt Format

Note: If you have a Bank of Philippine Islands receipt, your fee receipt number should be your passport number. If something other than your passport number appears in the circled area on the graphic, use that information as your receipt number. This receipt number verifies your payment and allows you to schedule your visa interview

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to use the receipt number as shown on the payment receipt from BPI.

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 1 was received. You will not find the priority date entered on the NOA2, you will only find it on the email/letter from NVC when you get your MNL #.

Make sure to print two copies of the interview confirmation page as you will need one for St. Luke's and the other (maybe, they might mail the interview letter) for the embassy.

(open all of these links then save them to your bookmarks so you have them for easy access)

NEW EMAIL ADDRESS

In order to serve our visa applicants more efficiently, we have created this new e-mail address: IVMNLAppointments@state.gov , for early appointment requests and visa scheduling issues. Please note, however, that early appointment requests will be approved on a case to case basis (i.e., aging out cases, or in cases involving personal or medical emergencies), and only if visa interview slots are available.

For other immigrant and K visa concerns, please send an e-mail to IVManilaReplies@state.gov
.
To enable us to electronically sort the messages and provide better, more timely responses, you should follow the instructions below.
The subject line of your email should indicate the visa applicant’s last name, first and middle name (ex. DOE, John James), case number/USCIS receipt number, visa category and priority date.

Messages should be limited to 500 characters or less. The mail size should not be more than 15 KB.
Do not submit documentation or attachments with your message as our system is unable to receive inquiries with attachments.
Do not send your inquiry more than once as duplicate inquiries will congest our system and delay our response time.

Have copies of passport bio page, confirmation page from scheduling interview online at embassy (or if the embassy mails a confirmation letter bring a copy of that) (NVC Instructions Letter is for IR/CR-1 visa), and of course the 2X2 photos. (copy of annulment is asked for at times)

PREREGISTER at St. Luke's website, it saves time when you arrive. http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

CFO:

ALL exiting required to attend. There have been changes regarding CFO so for sure read through their website.

Update: Please check the schedule of the counseling session before proceeding to CFO because it is country-specific and the slots are limited only to 15 per session (two sessions per day) for Manila and 12 per session (only one session a day) for Cebu. It is on a first-come-first-serve basis.

CFO Online Registration Form: http://www.cfo.gov.p...trationform.pdf Complete this and print a couple copies to bring to the CFO seminar, it will save you time.

http://www.philembas...w_gcp_flyer.pdf

http://www.cfo.gov.p...onals&catid=140

Required documents & "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO: copies of; CENOMAR (CEMAR and marriage certificate if married), certified birth certificate, bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together. From USC (copies of) - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common requests. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.

Hi guys, I have the same problem regarding my visa appointment, we haven't received yet the USEM Appointment letter or what they called Notice of Eligibility but we already have our MNL case# and according to the website ( https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/ ) we are now ready for interview, so we decided to go ahead and book for our interview. This morning I called the USEM visa information and appointment service and the representative told me that generally applicants will need to wait to get the packet 4 from the USEM before you can book your appointment date because it means they've already check my papers. However, I have read other people stories/experiences and according to them as long as you have your MNL case# you can go ahead and book your appointment and go for your medical exam. My question is, do you think we will not be having problem or there will be no conflict even though we already booked our appointment without that letter from USEM? and can I go ahead and go for my medical exam.? Pls. help me with this, I just want to clarity this issue because I'm so confused now on what to do next and what to expect. Hope you guys will share your experience because it will really me a lot. Thank you very much♥

Too many of us have gone through the process, didn't have to wait for any packet from USEM and successfully scheduled interview and got interviewed with no issues. They no longer mail out the said packet for years now. All required documents to bring at the interview are accessible online.

As others have said "Do not wait for the packet". They do still send it out. Some receive it, some don't. Forget about the packet, ignore anyone who says you need it. It's your case, drive it as fast as you want. The only thing you need to wait for is the info from the US citizen (I-134 and what not), but even that shouldn't slow your process down.

My fiancée's NOA2 came not quite 6 weeks ago. She's on a plane right now coming here (Yay!) and will arrive a day before we're 6 weeks away from NOA2. She hasn't yet received anything from USEM. It's not necessary.

Good luck! And you can do this last bit just about as fast as you want. We got our MNL number 4 1/2 weeks ago. We had a few days delay (not normal) due to her needing to go back to the USEM a second time for fingerprinting (not normal, don't worry about this, she must just have very shallow fingerprints) and she still was able to go that fast. You can too. Once you have the MNL number you are in the driver's seat. GO GO GO!

UPDATE ....

I emailed the embassy regarding this "eligibility letter" and below is their reply.. hope this will clear your mind..

-------------------------------------------

We received the USCIS-approved visa petition (Form I-129F) from the State Department’s National Visa Center (NVC) on May 28, 2013 and notified you in writing that you are eligible to be scheduled for a visa interview at the Embassy.

There is no need to wait for the hard copy of our notice. You may proceed to St. Luke’s Extension Clinic in Manila and present your valid passport to have the required medical examination. Please be aware that applicants are advised to have their medical examinations done at St. Luke’s Extension Clinic in Manila at least five (5) to seven (7) business days before their visa interview appointment at the U.S. Embassy. Applicants are encouraged to register online at the St. Luke’s website: www.slec.ph prior to their medical exam.

You should compile all the required documents and complete the medical examination before the visa interview. Please note that the medical examination may take more than one day to complete.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Embassy/Consulate forum -- topic involves consular processes. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I've called us embassy and they adviced me to wait for the notice before i can set an appointment... I really wanna pay it so i can set an interview and medical ... Im so confuse... And i called SLEC they need the letter of appointment before they can proceed for the medical.

It's just their advice but it is not really necessary. As long as you have your MNL case number, you can go to BPI and pay your visa fee. Make sure that you bring with you your passport and the MRV slip when you go to the bank. After that, the bank teller will give you the "customer copy" where you can find your receipt number. You will need your receipt number when you schedule your interview appointment online. When you're done setting an appointment, they will immediately email you your appointment confirmation. Print it and bring it with you on your medical exam.

hello guys! I am a new here, I need some comments and suggestions. I am a K1 visa applicant.. my fiance received a letter from NVC together with my MNL case no. and they said i receive soon a packet with instruction from consular, my question is? my requirementsare already complete with the DS- forms, can i set an appointment of interview and sched my medical with out the packet from manila embassy, I have my MNL case no. already...

pls pls pls need your help guys!

The Manila embassy does not mail out a packet, everything is done online. If (big IF being many never receive this letter) you receive the embassy letter it will only direct you to their website for everything.

Being you have your MNL # you are ready to rock 'n' roll.

Look in my signature below, there is a link to the complete K-1 process including links to the embassy instructions letter.

Pop down to the Philippine forum there is lots of great help there.

The embassy states 4 hours, but many times it takes 24 hours... welcome to the Philippines... laughing.gif

Actually it was ill bit frustrating in regards with the NVC services.. They never informed my fiancé through email that the Manila office had already got our case since last May 22, 2013 not until last night as I kept on persuading him to call the NVC hotline.

(Just sharing my ill disappointment) ð

God bless us all with the best luck I hope!

Hi Chai Latte. Just want you to know that we have the exact same situation. No Notice of Eligibility yet but I went ahead and paid and scheduled my interview. The person I spoke to from the call center said that there may be a risk of having your appointment rescheduled if they have not fully processed your papers and the only way to know if they have is if you have received that notice. I'm a bit worried as well but it seems like it's such a waste of time to just wait for it when the case status online says READY. I hope someone enlightens us about this.
