So I finally received my NOA2 on May 16 after 9 grueling months. Yay! But now what do I do? Just wait for the consulate to mail me about the Affidavit of Support? I already have the AoS packet ready to go. I wish I could just send it. Any help would be appreciated.....Thanks!

Do not wait on the consulate, they should send packet 3 to your fiancé or you depending on the consulate. Right now your 129f petition should be on its way to the NVC who will then send it to the appropriate consulate. You can call the NVC to get your case number once they receive, and you can also call them to check to see if they have forwarded it to the consulate. YOU should mail your fiancé the affadavit of support along with a copy of your original 129f package. Do that ASAP as mail usually takes a bit longer. You and your fiancé can practice using the forms that will be given in packet 3 if you want to get a head start, otherwise sent off the paperwork you have and the I-34 and the NVC and consulate will take care of getting your paperwork ready that will be needed before the interview. good luck! Check out the K-1 guide and flow chart for more info.

Yes same thing. I would call now if you have already received your NOA2 hard copy. Mine was received at the NVC the same day I got the I-797 in the mail.

I call 603-334-0700 never used the 800 before. Have the names of the beneficiary and the petitioner ready, and both dates of birth and the USCIS recepit number from your NOA1

Does your fiance(e) already have all his/her docs? long form birth cert, police cert etc?

She got her police background check but it said on the report it is only good for one month. Also she does have her birth cert and it's translated. She is also getting her vaccination report very soon.

Hey thanks man. I am sending her the AoS tomorrow then. Do you know about when they get the case at NVC? I called on Monday and they said 15-30 business days, but it sounded like a very standard answer they normally feed to people. Is it realistic to have it this week? Thanks for your great reply? It really helped :)

The 15-30 IS a standard reply. If it's not in their system I think they have to tell you that. I would call every day after you receive your NOA2 hardcopy. It shouldn't take too long to get there. And it typically leaves a few days later for the consulate if everything is in order. I got my NOA2 notification May 10th, received hard copy the 17th, called the 17th and it was already at the NVC with an assigned case number, and left the NVC for the embassy today. So there's a recent time frame. Good luck!

You have to wait for the NVC to receive the case which takes a 2 weeks or so, they assign a beneficiery number, then you have pay the AOS bill immediately before you send the package through this site https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx

Print the cover page and send with your package. When the IV bill is generated, pay that also and print cover page and send with your Immigrant Visa Application. Check out my timeline and for police requirements in Albania you can check out the posts on my profile feed. You will need 3 certificates for Albania.

Hi!! I just my fiance just got the hard copy today of NOA2.... Ive been reading the post, but have some questions...

1. the original copy of the I129f package that my fiance has to send me... what that means... the forms signed? the evidence we sent at first, with the pictures? if they already have that, I still have to take exactly the same to the interview??

2. Ive been reading about calling to the NVC, ok we got the hard copy today, if he calls and give them all you said .. names, birth dates and the "WAC" number of NOA1.... they are gonna give us a CASE NUMBER... what do I have to do with that number???? call the US embassy in my country??? and give them that number? will they send me a package with that, or give me a date of interview while they get the documents from NVC?????

Im confused about that, please help! you are an expert!!!!!!!!!! you help alot! thanks so much!!!!smile.png
