Thanks, I looked and it was Overland Park, KS.

Then it is highly unlikely it will get transferred to local office. I think the overland park files are going to stay there till they start operating the i-130 division this month.

I agree and think this is the case for April, May, and all other filers going forward.

It wasn't a DCF. It was an I-130/F2A (CSC)...

Happy Sunday to you as well! Here's to hoping that something will happen soon, although I also doubt it :)

I'm really curious if our congressman will get some answers on why they sent cases to a place that wasn't even open yet and wasn't going to be open for another 5 months, when USCIS themselves said that overseas cases should take about 60 days to get to NOA2. I again highly doubt that they will answer anything definite to congressman, but it would be interesting to hear what they said, if they do decide to answer.

When we moved to Finland, everything went swiftly and well with the immigration process, not to mention cost a lot less! Now that we are moving back to the U.S nothing is going anywhere. While we know it's nothing personal, it is also so clear that USCIS doesn't want the USC and especially the non-USC to come back anytime soon.

IR1 took 520 days....

Working is not allowed through ESTA, but traveling on business is. From ESTA website: https://www.visa-esta-usa.com/faqs

  • How are "business" and "pleasure" defined?

"Business" does not include performing actual productive work, study or training. To qualify for the ESTA, business can include looking for work, pitching one's services, representing one's company, looking at potential universities, etc. "Pleasure" is sightseeing, tourism, attending sporting or artistic events, etc.

I wish I could say we had some good news but unfortunately not - still waiting here in Australia - I don't think any of the abroad filers get any 'advantage' anymore - I wish they'd hurry up and start processing at the new office!

Filed I-130 5 May 2013

NOA2 for I-130 received 28 February 2014
