dhr3 - thanks for that - i'll add that to the wiki, i'm doing a rewrite this week.

I have ghostscript on many machines in my lab, even this stupid cranky laptop pc has it.

Your attorney did not give you correct information, the NVC will require those items. If you opt for electronic processing, they can be scanned and emailed to the NVC.

yikes. got a bounce back today from a reviewer, i filled out the I-864 wrong, massive fail on blocks 3-5. good catch on the reviewer, though. email in from NVC circa 8:30 AM CST today.

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your correspondence.

We received electronic documentation for this case. Please allow up to
20 business days from the day the email was sent for the scanned
attachments to be uploaded to the electronic case file and reviewed.

IMPORTANT:
Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning
this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of
contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees

and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and
documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration
process.

oh - small bit of tech arane-ia

I upgraded my browser, Opera, to v12.15

No issues at the payment portal, I am NOT spoofing the Browser type or name, sticking with 'Native Opera'.

I'm impressed with Opera, many years - I am happy it's not barfing at the payment portal - where (as we all know) was designed to 'work best' with IE V7. grrr

i am really surprising myself on the image file conversions, creating pdfs and making header entries in the pdf files. I don't know why I thought I'd be molasses-slow for doing that part.

well, maybe the way I worded the subject line on the IV set triggered some lickety split stuff?

Got in a checklist letter circa 15:39 today, a nice 3 page pdf thingie, asking me to pay the immigrant visa fee.

####### ? I paid it already - and you yanked the monies out of my account already - it's you slow mo-fo's at NVC that aren't updating yer system in real time.

Still, getting a checklist letter is good, in a way, right? TO ME - that means a human reviewed the DS-230 already and found nothing else wrong with it.

Or I'm just full o #######... one of the two...

aha - false alarm - this is a checklist letter

telling me that the support documents have been received.

sure, its asking me to pay the immigrant visa fee, but that's just funny.

in the end, this is some indication that the aos was detached and added to the casefile and a reviewer not find errors with it...
