How did you provoke them? Yelling or following? Won't be covered if they take it to a physical thing. Whoever throws the first punch will be considered the one guilty of assault.

Honestly it could have been self defense on both sides. I just want people to understand it could go both ways, because you have a slew of folks calling TM a criminal, thug, and lord knows things I can't post here, yet GZ painted at a defender of the neighborhood. Yet it's hard to formulate a unbiased opinion when you're a minority and it's a part of life for you. I've been profiled plenty of times and I know how it feels first hand. So even though I know better not to let my anger get the best of me, which could have been the case here, doesn't excuse GZ behavior.

It could definitely go both ways. I am just really bothered by how easily it could have been avoided. Even with everything that went on; once Trayvon spoke to GZ, "why are you following me?", all GZ had to do was tell him he's the neighborhood watch. And they could have talked it out. Or when GZ asked, "What are you doing here?" If Trayvon had said, I'm staying at my brother's house. The could have talked it out.

If it hadn't turned physical the kid would still be alive today. Despite all the mistakes made by both of them, it could have been resolved so easily.

How do I know? I'm not involved with the case. I try not to blindly trust everything that the media dishes out. That's why we have trials. As someone else stated, GZ is charged with a crime, TM is dead. Other than that, it's all speculation.
