Jan 30 PD here. Not confirmed if case at the Fairfax office but thats where it would be if it were transferred.

Our office is a little packed compared to the other field offices so I expect things would take a while http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=4&office=26&charttype=1

If they're approving on an average of 650 applications per month, and their workload is 6000 applications at that time, then it would take a whopping 10.5 months to complete :( I really hope thats not the case and that my interpretation is wrong!

Ugh...

Well I checked the processing times for the DC office and even though the I-130 is not listed in the table this is what I've determined: it was last updated at the end of February and at that time 2 out of the 3 forms they process were from August and September. So that is 5-6 months before February. If things haven't gotten drastically worse in the last 2 months then I'm praying our files will get approved in July or August (5-6 months after our priority dates). That's my theory. I hope it's right....fingers crossed

Welp! I was really hoping for a 3 month approval from NBC and another three till interview. I'm almost at my 90 day mark (70 days). Not sure how we're gonna go through another 90 days of this.

kmg617, where did you check processing times for DC office and how can you conclude that 2/3 cases processed were I130s?

I found it here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do

No I 130s are not on there- only other forms. I'm just making an educated guess based on those processing times. Hana. I really have no idea though. Based on the February Filers board it feels like I'm the only transfer and everyone else are getting approvals from NBC. Happy for them but sad for me...

Keep me updated with that! You may be the only one I know of on VJ that had their I130 transferred there. Have you made an InfoPass appointment yet?

So on Monday, I went to my info pass appointment with USCIS, cause it's been over 5months since i heard anything about my case. Well my appointment was in DC (fairfax city), but yeah went there (got complimented on my toe) lol weird! but any who their was no wait b/c of the time i went. Well as soon as i got my ticket it was called and went to the window 8 the lady was very sincere and ask me what i was here for and i told her that i needed to know what was going with my case and she said ok she will check when it was delivered to there office and well she said that in june i should expect an interview and so the waits continue, but at least i know when i will be expecting and an interview and she also made me write down on a piece of paper to keep for their records what i came here for and so on so forth. She told me if i was to travel to make sure to get another info pass appointment to let them know. But she was nice and very understanding and i have a feeling that my interview date might be earlier...*praying that it does happen*

I had my infpass appt 4-26-13...i've now reached 7 months and I know for sure that my case has been at the washington office for about 3 months or so. I'm glad they at least gave you a month because they didnt give me one at all nor could they give me a real reason that they needed to interview me. I have since submitted for the CIS ombudsman to look into my case and what they are doing with it. Has anyone else on here had to do a local interview ?

I am waiting for NOA2 from past 8 months & still haven't heard anything. They didn't even tell me in my infopass that they need to interview me. They just said, "we have your file but we don't know when we will look into it". Do you know if anyone has got approval from DC office since August 2012? I don't see any approvals from this office on VJ....grrrrrrr...pulling my hair out :(

I can definitely sympathize. I have reached 8 months coming on 10 months in a couple weeks. I have reached out to the CIS Ombudsman and they are reviewing my case but it doesn't look promising. It seems that the USCIS is holding on to my case, doing nothing, then will deny me. I have since enlisted the help of a lawyer to attempt to fix things so I advise you do the same if at all possible. Hard to believe that this is happening to me for no good reason known or made known to me...just celebrated my 1 year anniversary by visiting my wife's country and having to leave her yet again...very hard indeed....

sorry you are in this situation.. not really sure why you hired a lawyer .. they can not do anything to help speed up the process. have you contacted any directors? congressman or representative? there are much better routes than throwing your money away with a lawyer... if they told you they can get your case approved faster, they lied
