I'm really hoping to tap into your experiences to insure that I am following through with things correctly after receiving the MNL number yesterday morning. I have a couple questions and I pray you can all help me get some answers to.

1) Now that I have the MNL number, can my love go to BPI and schedule her interview straight away?

2) When can my love go for her medical at St Luke's? Do we have to wait until the USEM receives the case from the NVC before going for the medical or can we go anytime after scheduling the interview?

YES. As long as you have the NVC letter and MNL Case number.

2) When can my love go for her medical at St Luke's? Do we have to wait until the USEM receives the case from the NVC before going for the medical or can we go anytime after scheduling the interview?

I think when you receive the MNL Case number, that immediately means the USEM has your papers already.

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to use the receipt number as shown on the payment receipt from BPI.

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 1 was received. You will not find the priority date entered on the NOA2, you will only find it on the email/letter from NVC when you get your MNL #.

Make sure to print two copies of the interview confirmation page as you will need one for St. Luke's and the other (maybe, they might mail the interview letter) for the embassy.

From USC (copies of) - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common requests. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.

But what if I don't have the letter from the NVC yet? Can my Fiancee still go for her medical at St. Luke's?

She's going to pay the visa fees at BPI tomorrow morning and then I'm going online and try to schedule her and her son's (my stepson's) interview...

For K-1 your fiancee will NOT get an Instructions Letter from NVC (that is only IR/CR-1), I seriously doubt she will get the letter from the embassy either (my wife never got one). All you need is to pay the visa fee at BPI (per instructions), then go online at the embassy website to schedule an interview, then print 4 copies of the confirmation page. Take two copies to SLEC for the medical.

I think when you receive the MNL Case number, that immediately means the USEM has your papers already.

Not necessarily, we've got our MNL case # 5 days after NOA2 but our file went through 3 weeks of 'additional processing' at NVC before they've forwarded it to USEM

Once you've acquired the NVC letter with MNL case #, you're free to go to SLEC. It's a first-come, first-sarved basis

You do not have to wait for a letter from the NVC, as long as you have your case number, you can schedule you go to the BPI then wait about 4-6 hours and then schedule your interview online. You must have your medical taken before your interview, at least a few days before your interview. Good luck to you.

They were asking for the letter that has the MNL number.

But if you dont have it... like me.

I guess I was. Glad that I did not wait for it tho. Been reading a lot from this forum. The moment we received our NOA2, I bugged the fiance to contact NVC. Once we have the MNL#, I paid the visa and scheduled the interview.

I got the letter from the embassy a day before I went to the SLEC.
