My boyfriend and I are deciding whether or not to go with the K-1 Visa.

I want to make sure I have this right. We will be needing these forms: I-130, I-485, I-693, I-864, I-765, and the I-131.

If I have any that I do not need, please let me know, or any that I don't have listed. B-)

My boyfriend also may come here to visit in the VWP in the Summer (2013). While he is here, is it possible that we can start the K-1 process? Such as filling out forms and sending them off?

Also this may be a lot to ask for, but if anyone can explain the whole K-1 Visa process to me in uhm.. simpler terms, that would be wonderful. I am aware that there is a place here in Visajourney that explains the process, but I don't understand it very well. So please don't link me that.

Thank you in advance.

You have the wrong forms.

Follow the guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

You will need to submit an I-129F to begin with, which will take the lion's share of a year to process. You can file this while the alien is in the US, but obviously he will need to depart at the end of his authorised stay.

The form for K1 fiance visa is I-129F. If you go to the USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) website to download the form, there are also instructions to it. This step-by-step guide http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide here on VJ gives you the complete list of what you need to collect in order to prepare a K1 visa packet to send off.

You can do it while he will be visiting you, that's not a problem (I just noticed after re-reading your post that you said "boyfriend". What we're talking about here is a process for people who declare readiness to get married within 90 days from the foreign fiance(e) entering the USA, just wanted to highlight that.) But if you are both decided to do that, you might not want to wait until the summer. Keep in mind that the whole process takes anywhere from 6 months to a year.

Good luck! :-)

Ugh that sucks because I was told it was those forms by a USCIS worker over the phone :(

So basically I need the I-129F, G-325a, and the optional G-1145?

Sorry if I'm repetitive, I just want to make sure I get things straight..
