Correct. Up to $2999.99 and it can be received in us dollar. It is funny how that previous thread was eliminated. I guess we were giving away too many secrets. Let's keep communication on the deals to benefit ourselves :D

so the beneficiary should have a dollar savings account so that the money they will get is also in dollar? so if the beneficiary has peso savings, the bank wont allow to receive it in dollar?

yes. dollar account is needed. if your fiance send it via western union you have the choice to get it in dollars or in peso.

but i suggested to get it in dollars because WU exchange rate is lower.

Exchange loss is like only a few bucks. How much do you really save.

Western union 3 day is normally 0 dollars transfer fee it has been that way awhile if i forget to send 3 day WU I use xoom instead because its 4.99 and the exchange rate is a tiny bit higher I send Peso I tried sending WU in Us dollars and they gave it to her in Peso anyways so I didn't see the point. WU says 5 dollars next day but the more you send the more it goes up you have to watch that

Yes I think main problem is just to make sure a location is near your loved ones before you send them the money. For my wife xoom and WU were right next to each other but I think Money Gram is everywhere too normally they have a locator

if u send through Moneygram, ur wife can also get the money through Cebuana Llhuillier and BDO. I used to get the money in BDO but it takes 30-45mins to process while in Cebuana it will only take 5mins to get the money. Cebuana is everywhere too and some branch are open 24/7. Just need to ask the nearest branch about their operating hours. BDO also accepts Xoom services. i think some get their money in like 5mins if it is xoom.but if MG it is 30-45mins
