Do London except DCF for USCs on Tier 2 ICT visas? I've been unable to find a list of which visas they accept for and which they don't (other than no for tourists). Any experience?

Moving from DCF to regional forums for UK as this is not a family or marriage based DCF visa to the USA question.

It used to be that it was limited to people with ILR only -- even LLR people who had been in the UK for over six months could not use DCF. This changed in 2008 or 2009, if I recall correctly. Students still aren't eligible generally (I believe -- correct me if I'm wrong). A Tier 2 should be fine for the purposes of DCF, but be prepared that they *may* shoot it back at you and tell you to file via the States. In this case, they don't cash your cheque/charge your card and just return all your bumpf to you so you're not actually out anything but the time it takes for them to review it and say nope, sorry.

Thanks. I wish it was more definitive on the website. I have emailed them to ask, but haven't heard back yet. The site appears to suggest that only tourist visas don't count.

Did you email the Field Office or the Embassy? If you emailed the embassy, I'd suggest retrying with the field office.

Try londonconsular@state.gov or londoniv@state.gov, if you haven't already. In the past they have been cagey about confirming whether someone definitively can/cannot do DCF and just told people to go ahead and file anyway.

Thanks! Emailed both those, but the second no longer exists (got a bounce back - Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups: londoniv@state.gov The e-mail address you entered couldn't be found. Please check the recipient's e-mail address and try to resend the message. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.).

He contacted a lawyer in London yesterday and is expecting to hear back form them this morning as to whether they believe he'd be eligible give the visa category change.

Thanks so much for that email address. They did indeed reply to me in only a couple hours and again when I asked for clarification on a point a couple of minutes later.

Did they confirm you are eligible? It would be good to know for future filers.
